You live and you learn. It's a loss, doesn't matter if it's Spurs or not. We haven't won at WHL in a while, and we're not likely to for a few more years, so if we lose 2-1 or 3-0 it doesn't really matter. All I can say is that it's a blessing in disguise that Skrtel has been sent off. Now only for Carra to retire, and Wisdom and Coates to take the CB pairing.
IMO the ref did play his part but we just lost our composure and started playing bad football T.ham deserve the points we've been outplayed Damage limitations please
How can we be such a ****ing bi-polar team though?? It was the same last season! One game we pass well and click together and the next we're just ****ing ******ed.
Why exactly? Because they're worse than Skrtel or Carra? I don't think so... What we need now is players who will put a shift in away from home.
Skrtel is only in because of the injuries to Kelly and Johnson, remember that. Jamie Carragher's leadership is why he still deserves to be playing, perhaps if he plays a squad role this season then next season joins the coaching team after retiring from playing, that would be better.
What's wrong with new players? Flanagan and Robinson were outstanding last season and make Skrtel look like a Championship player in comparison. As kenny said, players have to earn their right to be in the starting 11 and on that basis we should be considering a fair few changes.
Few things were very wrong from the start. Kuyt should have played on the right to help double up on Bale. Skrtel is not a RB his only 3 performances I can remember we have lost and he's been terrible (Bolton doesn't count as they didn't even attack us). Playing Carroll & Suarez away from home wasn't a good idea. We needed 3 in the middle to help control the game against Modric & Parker. Once we were down to 10 men we needed to get an extra midfielder on as we were already being overrun. The plus side.. Skrtel is out for the next game and we should have Gerrard, Johnson & Kelly back.
Well Flano will have to play the next game anyway, Kelly and Jono injured and Skrtel banned, so who else is going to play RB
Just got back from the van fest, find us down to 9 bloody men and 3-0 down! So much for sorting it out for Spurs! I haven't seen the match of course but from I saw on the Twitter timeline on my phone the ref was again found wanting. However that's no excuse. We should've got rid of Skrtel while we had the chance, man's a liability always has been always will be. Why was Adam sent off?
Agreed the ref has been dire today,far too card happy,he has spoiled the game, but so have we and so has Kenny.Thank God Skrtel and Adam wont be playin next week. In the modern era POSSESION IS KING,end of, you cant give the ball away, both the above are very gulity of it.Kenny should have made Carra move to RB after 20 mins,and should have brought Bellamy on for Carroll at half time ( he didnt cos he cost £35m).Kenny needs to make the team appreciate that cant give the ball away. What leadership? He hasn't organised the defense today... He's 33 ffs. How many players in the premier play EVERY GAME at 33? Nobody in the top 6 does. Neville, Giggs, Scholes etc.. would play every other game or important games but we insist on using him in every game. He's not good enough anymore! We're just being all sentimental because he's been with us so long, but when a player isn't good enough, he shouldn't play. Skrtel may well be in for most of the season, because Kelly and Johnson will continue to pick up injuries. They have done so far, and I can't see it changing.

I'm not normally a doom monger and never slate our players, but Adam pisses me off when he gives the ball away all the time and I would play Spearing over him any day.
Jamie Carragher is still required to help the youngsters bed in, this season he can just play when needed, like Giggs etc. At the moment we only have Coates, Skrtel, Carragher, Agger and Kelly who can play in central defence, Skrtel has been carded for the next game, Agger is injured, so is Kelly. On top of that Coates can't go straight in, his only 20 and just joined a new club in a new country.
Liverpool fans still singing YNWA at White Heart Lane. Show me another set of fans that despite being 3-0 down and down to 9 men still get behind their team.
Coates has impressed me tbh, reckon he should probably start ahead of Carragher, who lets be brutally honest, is getting on a bit now. And just please sell Skrtel in January.
Agreed, not liking the negativity around this board right now, they've payed good money to see the team play poorly, poor decisions from the ref yet they're more positive than us.
