A National Gvt voted for by whom? I can’t disagree with the obvious faults in our system, but replacing it with a PR system like Italy’s ain’t the answer, imo.
I think it’s more than centrists don’t trust him. He’s a dyed in the wool ‘lefty’ and represents a ‘true Labour’ that hasn’t had power since the 70’s, and won’t this time either. Momentum have sullied him with their antics and they’ve alienated plenty of Labour members let alone swing voters. It’s a shame as I think the last manifesto was actually very good, but the cult of personality dictates that you need more than that to win. It’s like Kinnock in ‘92 all over again.
The electorate? By less Govt I mean less able to create massive and constant change. The Sherman’s system is ****e, BUT, it usually ensures that the President can’t legislate at will, as one or other of the houses is usually made up of a majority of the opposition.
