Fair comment. Up until three years a go I was always a floating voter, but can't remember if I've voted for the Greens in the past. I generally never stick by one party, unlike many voters.
Yes, it does matter. Next time you use the NHS, remember it only exists because Labour introduced it after the Second World War. The Tories strongly opposed it at the time.
The Greens would get far more traction and overall support if it wasn’t for our archaic FPTP electoral system. Many consider a vote for them as a wasted vote in their constituency as they know they won’t get in. If we had P.R. then that’d see them get a decent share of the seats, as they do in mainland Europe and the EU.
I don't get all this stuff with Corbyn, i actually respect a person that sticks by their guns in the face of adversity.
I think he means well but lives in this fluffy world where everything is nice. He just doesn't sit well with me.
I’ve no real problem with that tbh. If we went to P.R. then the entire spectrum of politics would be represented in the House, and we’d end up with multi party coalitions which water down extreme right or left wing ideologies in reality, as they can’t legislate without consensus.
The world would be a much nicer place if decent unselfish people with principles and integrity were in power. Instead of ****s. Being run by a bunch of dishonest, self serving, greedy ****s with no morals is not good for us.
