I don't think it will even take a decade. Cannabis is now legal in several US States, it probably won't be long before most of Europe follows. There is absolutely no rational argument for making cannabis illegal in a society where alcohol is freely available.

I smoked it on and off for years. Never had a problem with it, just chills you out. Never seen anybody want to start a row when they’d been toking. Booze, we’ll that’s a different matter.

Many people use cannabis without smoking it mate, edibles are a big thing round my way now for example, it can be vaped too. There's literally piles of evidence now, mainly from the US that show how much medicinal value it actually holds. Fact is most people who think bad of cannabis have never tried it and/or grew up being told it was the devil's herb. Dinosaurs like Comm who think smoking a joint for back pain or to help you sleep qualifies you as a junkie Old fuddies like that have been lied to and swallowed it up for generations.
