Come on lads, you guys are deservedly losing and down to 10, shocking challenge by Adam. Ref's been good.
It just annoys me how world class our terrible display is making Spurs look. Skrtel is a liability, Henderson is a headless chicken, Carroll has the touch of a rapist, Suarez has no one to assist, the list goes on.
I agree that we havent played well and the Spuds have, but when a ref is this bad what can you do? Just some shocking yellow cards, Yes they were fouls but Yellow cards, not a chance. In fact the only Yellow that should have been given was Adam's 2nd. I think this ref has been told to be harsh, either that or the ref has taken it upon himself to punish us.
On the plus side, we can't play any worse! Carroll off, Bellamy on and i'd replace Henderson with Spearing to shore things up a little.....They're vulnerable when attacked, shame we haven't put them under any real pressure....feeling very sorry for Suarez, he needs more service and support....come on Kenny, sort it out.....YNWA
Okay, watched the first half. Started poor, no room to work in and poor off the ball. Tottenham could have scored with Adebayor but the Modric goal was pure class. The referee is more of a problem, what is he doing? Booking Suarez for sarcastic applause? This is the worst ref performance I've seen, not favouring Spurs incredibly because his been strict with both sides, but still poor. Adam was surely a red card?? He went in, too high, couldn't have got the ball and got the player. Probably wasn't going to give the second yellow, but did. My younger brother asked me a very good question, at half time, 1-0 down, 1 man down, who would prevail at the end, Benitez or KK? Don't know about you guys but at the moment the grit, determination and passion isn't working.
Not a great deal wrong from Spurs during that first half, except to score the second goal. Very good all-round performance from the lads.
Adam's second yellow was a foul but was never a yellow. Adam had his eyes on the ball at all times and never saw the player
I could quite happily accept 1-0 at HT if we had 11 players still on. But with 10, we've no chance but to hope for a lucky smash and grab draw in the second half if we defend a hell of a lot better than the first half.
The lads owe us a performance 2nd half,we can still get a point out of this at least, if WE perform.Id bring Bellamy on for Carroll and put Carra at RB, Skrtel hasnt got a clue in that position, plus Carra can cross the ball and we need a goal Lets show our f$$kin steel this half
I do worry about the way the Premier League is going, and not just referring to this game but in general at the amount of yellow cards we are seeing. I wouldn't want it to go back to the 70's when you were allowed to kick people and get away with it, but the refs need to understand that players are much quicker these days and any slight touch is going to send them flying. This doesn't mean that it's a bad tackle but you only have to be 0.1 of a second out and it makes you look very late. I'd love to see a lot more ex players go into refereeing as they have so much more knowledge of how the game is played. Give it 5 years and a foul will be an automatic yellow card...
