As for the Green Party, I agree they would be the most logical party to be in power to address the climate change issue. But until we change the voting system to one like PR, then they aren't ever going to get into Govt.
I don't neccesarily say I would agree with Green Party views, but it is the only way to get people to take it seriously. Bascially meaning, they need to be appealing to me as a voter, than me having to scramble to find out what they are actually standing for/against. Some of that will come down to how you gain as a party more media coverage....yet another hurdle.
There are plenty of vegetables that you can grow over winter. You can also supplement with nuts and berries that have been harvested in the Autumn. You can also store grains, beans, oats, barley etc that have been grown over the summer. That's even before you get into food from animals, which on a basic level is simply eggs from Chickens, available all year round.
**** digital banking let's get to good ole barter. And horses and carts. Although horses fart a lot. Damn this stuff is complicated.
The guy from Extension Rebellion was challenged on their methods last night on QT, and he made the valid point that he’s been protesting for 20 years and the traction gained was minimal in the U.K. Yet post the action in Spring, it became headline news and May ended up called a climate emergency. Would that have happened without it? I doubt it. There’s people from all walks of life on the current protests, to label them all as ‘anarchist loons’ is both inaccurate and dismissive, but given you’ve regurgitated the words of the shill that is O’Neill today, hardly a shocker.
Horses been done mate Horse pollution in new york was mad if you read about it In fact in ancient Rome, Julius Caesar banned horse-drawn carriages due to gridlock and pollution.
Reading the history of some movements the whole XR is no different. Even the suffragettes were labelled extreme and terrorists at the time. Only history remembers them fondly
