A spliff or two would probably help sort out some of that BREXIT rubbish you spout, then everybody would be happy <peacedove>

I have read through the pages of replies to the thread since I last commented and found this question.

I'm sure you know that we can't do our own trade deals while members of the EU so asking for concrete examples is ludicrous.
I would ask if you are happy for our trade to continue to be strangled by being a member of the EU?
You posted about the £289bn we export but didn't include that we import £345bn.
Our trade with the EU is basically with 5 countries and one of the major contributors is travel. A travel import includes when someone stays in a hotel in an EU state!
If you break down the actual business we do with the EU it's not great for our economy, yes selling cars employs workers but the companies themselves are foreign owned.
Our trade with the rest of the world is of a higher value both monetarily and economically. Even though the EU have us in handcuffs we are still growing trade internationally so let's get out and open our wings.

We're different. I believe in Britain.

What is wrong with Parliament? Why do you want to kneel down to Brussels?
Why can't it just be a free trade area? Why do we need all the rest of the bolox?

As has been said before on here, 99% of the hoops we're having to jump through to leave the EU is because of the EU.
Politicians are a necessary evil and we've got too many of them in Westminster. We certainly don't need hundreds more in Brussels.

I still haven't heard a positive reason for staying. Travel, buying property, mobile roaming, working, basic health care.... You can do all of that outside the EU. Travel insurance is cheap if you're young, it's us old gits that have to pay a load.

[When Eric and Brisbane arrived there and told the abbo's, there's plenty of room to share, before you know it, the Abbo's are as good as in internment camps and they are telling us to keep letting the Frogs and Nazis rule us.
You have them if you want them so much

Hey, you leave me out of this, sonny. If I were still in the UK I'd be the first to leave. Bugger the frogs and jerries.

In fact I left before you will, fifty years ago.

You're quite right 2020, except, you haven't been listening to your corrupt EU acquaintances. They called for an EU Army to stand against Russia.

Treasonous May wanted too, tried too, and agreed to sign over our Military forces and Nuclear weapons to corrupt EU control. Problem was, T May didn't have the power or authority.

Just recently the EU called again for an EU Army, which would obviously include Airforce and Navy........So Olof is quite correct, more so than you are.

Please, for sake of decent debate and conversation.......try and keep up.

Taken from "Europe is ready for its own Army".

The formation of a European army under the institutional arrangements of the EU would require EU treaty changes, which would have to be approved by all governments and legislatures in the 28 countries, and probably have to get approval from at least a handful of public referendums. Building the army through this path is already nigh impossible. And if it were ever to succeed, as we have seen, the compromises needed to persuade all stakeholders to come on board would render the entire project largely pointless.

But France and Germany already signed a preliminary treaty which aims to build a “common military culture” this January, and that was quite separate from anything to do with the EU. So the two core European powers have already set things in motion. No doubt, smaller Western European countries such as Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg will volunteer to join any Franco-German initiatives as they develop in practice, and before long, most of the members of the EU will be signed up, as the project gains steam and establishes its credibility. That might eventually be integrated into the EU—but that’s a secondary consideration toward making it a reality.

So considering that most countries in a possible EU army are already members of NATO and obviously working towards closer military integration and common objectives what would the overall difference be if there was an EU army? Except of course no Yanks or Canadians.

Those countries already members of NATO who surrender their military to the EU means, A, they cannot be members of NATO anymore, a military cannot have 2 masters so to speak.........B, Would create conflict between NATO and the EU cos a military cannot have 2 masters.

That’s quite a charge, what evidence do you have? None, I assume (and you tube videos where someone else makes allegations without proof are not evidence - just a tip.)

We will no doubt continue to cooperate, whether we leave the EU or not.
