I honestly believe watching Match Of The Day is pointless. It never portrays the happenings in the actual game at all and the summaries by the pundits are always so brief ! Last nights showing of us versus Villa were a joke. Basically the only reason to watch it now will be to see the goals and that is all.
Impossible to get an idea of a game based on 6 minute highlights. Football First gives you a good inidication, although I can never be ****ed to watch it Punditry on MOTD is dire - cliche, joke, cliche, joke, laugh, stat, cliche, stat, joke is how it usually goes.
it is utter rubbish. the bbc need to buck their ideas 6-8 mins highlights of a game is pathetic, each game should have around about 12-15 mins, were paying the bbc to show 6 mins of a newcastle match, ridiculous.
Has anyone the running order for this seasons programmes, interested to see how often we are first (last!)
There's someone who tweets what the running order is when the days games have finished. I think it's something like MOTDeditor or something. It's on the right on the BBC live feed thing when the matches have finished

I live in Ireland at the mo, and their coverage of the premiership totally spanks MOTD. They actually analyse the game properly give you some actual insight from an 'insiders' point of view. I cant actually believe how bad motd is! Its horrendous. Hansen, Lawro, Dixon and wor Al are an embarrassment. Lineker probably knows more then them all put together...but he's the one asking the questions!!!! Oh and Newcastle were on 2nd on the irish show....not last. They know a good game when they see one. They dont pick teams based on bias, location, whether they are top of the league, whether they are a newly promoted team.....they do like the teams with irish players though... : D
Top man! Well have orders for the 2nd, 4th + this week but need 1st + 3rd weeks, Villa look to have been hard done by so far they have been 5th twice and 6th this week!
Premier Soccer Saturday. Usually on at about 8 o clock....so you can watch footy and go out after on the piss. Another point about motd...why 10.30?? A lot of us like a night out satday...!
Pointless doing some statistical analysis until we are further into the season where league position could be correlated against this but looks like Villa have every right to be peeved as they seem to nearly always be last! please log in to view this image before some smartarse says something, Im using it for revision purposes for the statistics part of my Open Uni exam next month :/
