She tells me loads of the nurses and doctors are foreign, a lot of the consultants too. That’s both from the EU and non EU. And a lot of the British staff are British Asian. Bloody scroungers.

The point is we joined the EEC in 1973 and the world has moved on since. It's as stupid an argument as saying we survived without the internet before 1990 - lets just immediately get rid of it but let our nearest market keep it.
We don't pay 39 billion we invest 39 billion for which we recieve benefits. Again as pointless a statement as saying Apple waste all that money on rent for shops as if they don't make a profit off that investment.
Well UK actually paid a net of 9 billion to the EU budget last so about 1% of our spending. In 2018 we exported 289 billion to the UK - not a bad return on our investment.
And we will still export, but not back to the UK as you seem to think.ow only 9 billion well we don't need 9 billion do we, so that's fine.
