Hello and welcome to the official match thread for Sunday's Premier League game between Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool. Preview. I'll start with the home team. Spurs have had a mixed start to the season. They kicked off the season with a convincing 5-0 against the Scottish Premier League side Hearts. They then kicked off their league campaign but it hasn't gone to plan for Harry Redknapp's side. A 3-0 defeat to Manchester United and then a 5-1 loss to Manchester City. Between these two league games, they played Hearts again and got a 0-0 draw which meant that Spurs went into the Europa League group stages. Tottenham then travelled to an in-form Wolves side. A good performance resulted in a 2-0 victory for the North London side and got Spurs their first points of the league season. Yesterday, Tottenham travelled to Greece to take on PAOK Salonika. It was a young side with some debunats and younger players and that side came away with a 0-0 draw. Liverpool have had a solid start to the season. A 1-1 draw on the first day of the season against Sunderland might not have been what the Liverpool fans were expected but Sunderland fully deserved the point they took back up to the north-east. A 2-0 victory away at Arsenal followed that game. Liverpool then travelled to St. James Parkt o take on Exeter in the Carling Cup. Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll with two of the Liverpool goals in a 3-1 victory for the Reds. A home game against Bolton followed. An excellent performance from Liverpool resulted in a 3-1 victory with goals for summer signings, Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam. Liverpool then went to Stoke to face Stoke City. It was one of them days for Liverpool with countless chances but none could be put away. A goal in the 21st minute from Jon Walters sealed the three points for Tony Pulis and his side. Injury/Team News. Liverpool's Glen Johnson has suffered a recurrence of his hamstring injury and misses out. Steven Gerrard is unlikely to be risked for this game and is instead expected to play against Brighton in the Carling Cup in midweek. Tottenham's Rafael van der Vaart has a chance of retruning from injury, but William Gallas and Aaron Lennon are doubts. Ledley King faces a late fitness test, but Michael Dawson is definitely out. I fancy a 3-1 win today! Disappointed to see Carra starting, he's scored 3 own goals when playing Spurs. Hopefully a good performance with no controversy will shut the spurs' fans up.
Hey guys, shame the other thread was shut down (worst pre-match thread so far this season!). I predict a 1-1 draw - or, if we can keep bale quiet, 2-1 win to us. Anyone have any good streams?

Kelly and Stevie still not ready, n Carroll gets the nod up top, hopin he gives them a mare. Quick crisp passin, and dont defend too deep. And lets TAKE our chances.First goal would be nice
Slighty off-topic, but what actually happened to the first match thread? I can't be arsed to go and read 8 pages...
Got a funny feeling about this game. We haven't got a good record against Spurs at their place recently so would probably take a draw but would love a convincing win just to shut the Spurs fans up for a while. Really hoping Carroll can shut a few doubters up as well. I really think he has everything needed to be a great player for us but just doesn't look like hes got used to the way we play yet. I think it could work really well with him & Suarez as defenders may double mark Suarez during open play leaving more space for Carroll and visa-versa from set peices. Head says 1-1 heart says 3-0
Personally, I would suggest you dont do the official match thread until match day.Thats just my opinion, you could all disagree with me but thats my opinion Anyway enough of that, lets have the ref on our side today
Fair point but i've always put the match thread up when i've had the time. I think in the future, i'll try and get it up a day or so before the game. We've never had any problems before this game so hopefully after this game, it will all go back to normal. Back to the football, 2-0 Liverpool! Carroll to get both goals. I'm off to the pub now to watch the game... Enjoy the game everyone!
It's a little bit dodgy, hopefully it'll be alright throughout the game. I think Mick must have just been doing some work on the servers.
It was certainly the worst build-up thread to a match. Pity because all of the others have been good. Today I'll take a 1-1 but I would just love 0-2!
Ze, any idea if that thread is def showing it? PSV finishes in 15 min plus added time so it will overrun into the LFC game by that reckoning
I was thinking that; but not sure what'll happen. I'll refresh at half past and see if we come up straight away. If not then switch to Link 2.
I don't think Flannagan is ready just yet. He looked shaky in the couple of games he's played this year and putting him against Bale could have been a disaster. Will be interesting to see Skrtel against Bale, I hope he doesn't get booked early on though. Such a shame that 2 of our 3 main injuries are to both of our RB's!
