I've also read that Fowler has been asked to take training today and tomorrow.

Everything is pointing towards something on Friday.

I think he's got a few things right about us tbh. The straw I'm clutching is that he got things right about the Campbell deal, that means (as you'd expect) his source (which I believe he has) is from the Sunderland side. If he had a source on the MSD side saying it was off then it would likely be accurate. If it's from the Sunderland side then it could (again, I know I'm straw clutching) have been said by the Americans as a form of brinkmanship, the source would think that was it, Nixon would thus be as confident as he is, but there might still be a chance that Donald can get it over the line if he makes concessions/ changes the deal

 

Stop beating around the bush and say what you mean

 

If, as the rumours suggest, MSD are worried about promotion not being achieved you can see why Ross has gone. Maybe it was a statement of intent to try and get everything sorted. By that I mean that things were slowing down, stalling, and it's the last card Donald could play to convince them. Less than two weeks ago, Donald was very confident.

 

Next season in division 1 is not an option for the yanks- and that is what i have heard and believe- donald had to act, and cancel that home game

I've heard meeting on Friday. Absolutely no reason to doubt the lad who messaged me about it and it's not breaking any confidences because he has also mentioned it on the main board over the road. Guess we'll find out soon enough. I'm confident that we'll hear nowt until then (maybe even until the weekend) but since I believe him I can't help but think Jack Ross going will be somehow linked, especially given the timings. Like I say all we can do really is wait and see, won't stop us discussing it all day though

 

Aye, he said he thinks Ross will go on to do well elsewhere but that he had to think about what would give us the best chance of promotion and he decided letting Ross go was the right call

According to Nixon his source is the Americans ! he replied simply 'ask the americans' when confronted by a sunderland fan saying SD says it's still on ! he then goes on to suggest theres another party and that's why SD hasn't confirmed the americans have pulled out using the line " if you're are selling your house and you have more than one party interested would you tell the other buyer the competition is no longer interested?" he's either a complete liar and doesn't care about making his employer look silly or he's very confident in his source .

I just don't see how he'd even move in their circles tbh. A source linked to SAFC, yeah, I can totally believe that, like I say especially when he's got things right before about us. It might be that the source is from SAFC but that he is certain it's finished, so his "ask the Americans" might just be a case of meaning "Donald would say it's ongoing if there's other bidders, but if you ask them I bet they'd give a different response, rather than being a suggestion it's come from them. I don't see how or why anyone remotely linked to MSD would speak to Alan Nixon from the Sun

 

they will have people everywhere sniffing about in trench coats and trilbies, but he certainly didn't back down on twitter last night … what he's suggested is that there's another party , so either way it sound to be good news pending on investment, but it might not be soon and it might not be dell backing it.

 

Yeah, I don't think he's a ****ehawk tbh, I'm sure he has a source who says the American interest is finished and I'm sure both Nixon and the source believe it. I'd still love to know what side of the fence the source is from though! My personal option is that it'll end up being minority investment from one or maybe two of them.

 

Think someone posted that Nixon started blocking people once they started questioning his source and links to the Americans.
