Especially ifyou've been around since the first relegation. I'm running out if time and had hoped that our day had finally come.

Does anyone feel we are in the eye of the storm. The calm before the hurricane.

But if its not a deflection tactic, then why would he suddenly sack his "friend" on the day of a game. The only reason I can think of, is because of the Yanks putting pressure on him to do it, which would suggest that the investment talks were not dead.
Also, by sacking Ross,Donald must think there's a good chance of a successful conclusion to the talks. If he thought other stumbling blocks couldn't be overcome, then he probably wouldn't have acted so promptly in sacking Ross.

There was plenty of reasons to sack Ross.

Something definitely happened, don't care how many people don't believe it! They could have sacked him straight after the game, or on the Monday. Instead it is announced right about the same time as the "takeover off" story is breaking, and even though safc.com had just (about 4 hours earlier) posted an article with Ross chatting about the Grimsby match. If they knew (Donald was discussing it with Ross etc) for a couple of days that it was likely, I doubt they'd have interviewed him or published that. The fact they did, added to the timing being right about the time something obviously happened with the takeover makes me think it must be linked. I could understand if the takeover was off and this was Donald moving on, but he's stated repeatedly that this isn't the case, and I doubt he'd string people along if all talks had actually collapsed

Yeah i know what you mean. But when is best time? It was a pretty meaningless game which we ended up winning anyway. I don't think it was a diversionary tactic like a lot of people think.

So are you suggesting other investors have forced Donald's hand? If so, the deal with these other investors must be a very good one for SAFC, for Donald to act hours before a match.

At this stage mate, no one knows for certain. You could be right that it's not diversionary, but if that's the case then the only alternative explanation I can think of, is that people in negotiations with Donald have issued an ultimatum.
