He walked away at the end of the season, when his deal expired, exactly as Henriksen will (unless we do a better job of shipping him out in January, than we managed in the summer).

Henriksen admitted he wouldn’t go too
Literally nothing we can do in that situation

We turned down £1.7m for him in January and instead triggered another year, our **** up, not his.

    He’s looking after himself

Ehab offered Markus the 2nd year contract to try to prevent him signing a free pre-contract agreement in January to move to a foreign club. Ehab is still hoping to get a bit of cash for him in the upcoming window.

He turned a deal down, so did we, we have no idea what that deal was, but you’re happy to slate him for it anyway.

Hardly a surprise, Tymon, Clark, Henriksen, Campbell, they’re all selfish ****s apparently.

Who called Campbell or Clark selfish ****s?? Not me.
So a player we were trying to sell as terry wanted a player in his position and he refuses so weakening our team
Yet you want to back a wantaway player and not the team you support?? Strange

I want us to be playing the best players available to us, rather than playing petulant games and I happen to think, until he goes, he’s one of the best players available to us.

Can you honestly say that Tymon has furthered his career ? Clark ? I wanted him to do well because he was a local lad but I've sat and watched him for City alongside a couple of ex players and I wont embarrass the lad and repeat what they said. Sometimes players just don't make it.
Henrikson? captain and badge kisser last season but he wanted to be away ? I thought he was boxing way above his weight for us.
Campbell ? Great last season but he's the wrong side of 30 and wanted a longer contract then City were offering, not to mention the money he was on.
None of them are selfish ****s, as you claim, just footballers who move on. It's what they do.

It’s not petulant is it we needed to sell him and he wouldn’t go
And as glp says I’d rather have batty and Stewart than him anyway

I believe it was a loan deal he tuned down, nobody got close to the £6m fee Ehab was after.

He should be playing in front of Stewart and Batty, not instead of them.

I wonder if there’s anyone on a Barca message board suggesting Messi is 32 now, so only worth one year on reduced terms. <laugh>

I don’t think any of them are selfish ****s, that was a reference to all those who automatically blame the players ahead of the club, despite having no idea what actually went on (and despite our owners appalling track record).

Did you really just compare Campbell and Messi?..... I'm sure you pulled someone up recently ( possibly on this thread ) about comparing apples to oranges! Then you go and compare a mouldy old apple to caviar

I know you can't bare others having different opinions to you but come on! That's a big straw your clutching at hahaha

He isn't comparing Campbell and Messi. He's showing that using the excuse that when someone is older than 30 they shouldn't get anything other than short contracts, is an absolute bollocks reason.

I was just pointing out that 32 year old footballers aren’t past it and I’ve accused nobody of comparing apples with oranges. Other than, good post.

I'd say Max Clark is in an infinitely better place though, I'd definitely rather be at Vitesse Arnhem than City at the moment.

Max Clark seems to be doing ok despite what your ex-player mates might have said

Any Tymon is in a team at the top of the Portuguese league ahead of Porto and benfica, albeit after 7 games.
