He should be given a start BUT not against a team like Stoke, the 2nd of October would be a suitable match, against one of the less dangerous teams. He could get a hatrick and that would really set him up. <ok>

Shame he's not in the EL coz i think we could have played him against Shamrock Rovers without doing him any damage.

    Well said CN

Not that I'm saying Coulibaly should play, I just don't understand why some posters dismiss the notion out of hand. Well, I do understand, some people don't think before posting at times. AS PNP says, maybe he could come on from the bench, I don't know, I'm just wondering. AT least you and PNP have the decency to debate matters properly (and Pats big hands), so thanks to you three.

Name him on the bench and bring him on for 20mins at the end to give him a taste of English football.

Agreed, use him as a substitute and just give him a little experience of the pace of the league. If he surprises and copes well you've gained an option, if he doesn't no harm done. Bring him through when he's ready.

Because (and this is giving you the benefit of the doubt) you did not think through what you were advocating. If you had posted that it would be good to see him given a chance in the first team then my response would have been positive. As you say some posters don't think before posting.

No, I wasn't advocating anything, I was asking a question. Once again, your powers of comprehension are poor to say the least, and I remind you again to think before posting and exposing your ignorance.

PS Thanks to KH and Darren for some sensible input.

If you look back you will see I answered your question, the fact that you didn't like the answer and resorted to personal attacks shows me all I need to know. It's well known that the insults people throw at others reflects their own problems. You have done this everytime on this thread. The more you attack me the greater prick you look. You should choose your opponents more carefully in future.

No, it's you who is the prick, big-time. It's you who wants to be more careful about the opponents you choose. You started off by being an idiot, and have confirmed your reputation throughout this thread.

Here's your opening piece of nonsense, in case you've forgotten what a prick you were.

'Against Stoke! so he can get battered and scared for life.

    I don't think so <laugh>'

    Childish twaterry - well done!

So we are back to your opening statement and mine. Should we put him in against Stoke you ask. Let's try another way, why would you want to start any new very young player against one of the most physical sides in the PL. The side that anybody playing in Europe will be the least familier with, the side who use old fashioned English tactics. In fact apart from Man U or possibly Chelsea, the most difficult task you could set any youngster. Ok there is a chance he could succeed but the odds are against anybody new to PL doing well in such a game. The risk as I said in the first place is that he could be mentally scared for the rest of his career in England. It's a risk that any sensible manager would not wish to take unless there was no alternative and Spurs have many alternatives.

That is my last comment on the matter if you can not see the sense of what I am saying or indeed said in the first place then I suggest you leave it there.

I certainly wouldn't mind having him in the squad. Not sure if I'd start him as like some have said, Stoke's centre backs can be quite bullish and although Coulibaly seems to be physically bigger than the average 16 year old, I still think the likes of Shawcross and Huth (if they play) will be too strong for him and may use their height and build to try and intimidate him. I'd love for the guy to come on from the bench with say 15/20 minutes left so he can get a taster of what he could potentially be coming up against in the future, the kids gotta start somewhere and I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have joined us if we never offered any first team incentives.

Be interesting to see what team Stoke put out. They are playing as many gamea as us and will want to refresh things after the weekend. Be good to see Woody play, but unlikely I think.

Your initial reply was rude, and if you can't see that, I suggest you leave it there.

Re Stoke's line up, like us it's likely they will rest many players.

A lot of people on here and elsewhere have suggested that Coulibay might play a part in this game, if only from the bench. That is, HE WOULD PLAY under that scenario. My question was a simple, serious and sensible one, that many people here and elsewhere are giving a yes to. If others give the idea a no, then fine, but there's no need for rudeness and sarcasm, including silly emoticons.

After Stokes mauling by Sunderland i think they'll definately change things around abit for the Spurs game.Looks like the EL is catching up with them.So our team selection will be interesting with Gallas and Sandro most likely taking part.I'm sure Pav will get another game and maybe Kane on the bench, would be nice to have the option of Coulibaly on the bench for a little cameo if needed.
