Absolutely a shame but it would have been a shame not to send him packing. Truth be told he's been a massive failure.
Correct decision. It’s a shame it never worked out for him, he comes across as a decent bloke. I’d say this confirms the takeover is over as well.
Confirms nothing of the sort for me. It confirms the exact opposite. New owners want their own man in.
If there'd been no news about the takeover today I'd have said that sacking the manager at this point would mean the new guys were incoming and wanted their own man, as it is who knows. Anyway I hope to buggery that all you lot who wanted Ross gone are proved right about him being the problem not the players.
Absolutely - I can;t see how a manager going can make anyone think that a takeover isn't happening. It may not be but this would tell me that there's more chance of something happening! Bit disappointed tbh. I wanted this to work and the sacking and starting again has never worked for us and has us where we are now. Will see what tomorrow brings but they've done it at the right time with the game called off on Saturday
Do you think he'd come to the third division? I think he's a better gaffer than that personally (and agree totally that I think he'd do a cracking job too!)
INteresting that the website publishes this today as well: https://www.safc.com/news/team-news/2019/october/ross-preview-grimsby-town
No thanks. If not for all of the take over off news in the last couple of hours I would be very confident of the takeover being on. Havn't got a clue what's going on.
Yes, I do. He knows this area well and will appreciate the size of our club regardless of league status. He's also never seemed to be a man in demand despite doing a decent job everywhere he's been. I certainly think he's realistic. I remember Stewie Donald was seriously considering bringing back Coleman after he took over the club and he's out of work again so I wonder if we might think about bringing him back?
