It makes sense that if you have an Irish passport/have Irish citizenship & live on the isle of Ireland that you have the chance to vote in Irish elections, Presidential anyway. Certainly an interesting development, even more so with the support SF have in the 6 counties. Obviously there will be nothing in place (if ever) before this election.

It isn't just the voting rights for folk in the north, but traditionally those who had to leave to find work in england, america and elsewhere in the 50's to 90's who lay the blame firmly at the feet of the twin totems of FF and FG. They'd vote Labour, SF, Green or independent every day of every week before backing the main parties candidates.
