    Bollocks.

You had the largest wage bill in the league for years. Wenger spent less on fees but way more on salaries to attract and then keep his stars. All driven by the CL cash.

What cards... Didn’t you outspend us back in your ‘glory’ years and still couldn’t get anywhere near our silverware?

    Like **** we did <laugh>

Players like Ray Parlour were on about £25k per week at Arsenal. And even when Wenger started increasing wages, we were always outspent by Utd, Chelsea and later City and Liverpool. In the end our wage bill grew, and yes that was sustained by CL participation. But we earned our place in there in the first place.

We got a base of players for free who were the foundations of about 20 years of success. Trust me I know how you feel when one/two of your own come through the ranks. We spent a few quid on players but probably weren’t the biggest spenders in the league, certainly not net spend anyway.

You lot probably spent more than us in the 90’s and got absolutely nothing to show for it, not even a Charity Shield.

no way mate our spending wasn't maintained for more than 2 years and we sold every player we ever had prior as usual . Man United had a stroke of luck with getting 4 or 5 world class players through the ranks once and they spent money on top if that .. This notion they are special is bullshit they had a good manager , Were at the top when tv money was getting serious and like I say were lucky to have an influx of youth. The fact is Chelsea came along, man city came along , Tottenham are better, arsenal are still there and other clubs have money too.

Why is it a stroke of luck? We have the most productive academy in English football, the league is still littered with United academy products and always has been.

Maybe your memory is goosed from all the cheap juice you’ve injected into yourself, a quivering mess of anxiety and adrenaline on tap for no given reason. Get over the 90’s pal, you were nowhere near.

yes because you've been in a position to dominate and now its over , so stop moaning when other clubs have what you lost and took from someone else in the past … simple fact is theres nothing special about having the most money and having all the cards and you played them very very well, but now you've ****ed and you cannot complain about other clubs playing the same game
