Yep, and if they walk away they know there will be a large section of the support who blame Donald as the details won't ever be made official. Furthermore we've hit bad form. Next season we'll make less than this regardless of whether we go up because of the parachute payment ending, but going up is worth about £6m more than staying down. Add to that they will have done serious due diligence and will probably have a better idea of our financial position than anyone at the club.

I think it might be a bit of hard ball near the end at both sides. I don’t think Donald would jeopardise this chance for his own gain. If anything he’d try to push this through and not walk away easily.
