Not sure if anyone has seent he video doing the rounds of a "fan" talling Tom Flanaghan he's a "waste of ****ing space" whilst he was signing autographs for fans.

I've said on a couple of posts on here I'd rather, currently, sign for teams in L1 other than us - this is one of the reasons.

FWIW Flanaghan handled it very well but can you imagine how he's feeling following that. Would you want to play for us again if a fan was doing that - wish I'd been there to tell the dickhead to STFU!

Some of our fans are completely ridiculous. Don't deserve to be part of the club

Every club has it's own group of morons.
Why are you surprised or upset?

I used to get called a waste of space by my drill instructor. Even booted me up the backside and told me his boots needed a good clean as I couldnt wipe my own arse. I wiped my nose (and my arse) and moved on. Im by no means excusing whoever said it, but theres a lot of high emotions at the minute, and I see the players getting called far worse on a number of forums, I dont think we get exclusivity of having fans behave like this, its not the majority

Apparently that video is only half of what actually happened as well. The lad hoying the ‘abuse’ about was saying a lot more prior to the recording starting

Shouldn't the title be 'one of our fans is a disgrace'.

I agree BTW but also agree with his assessment of the player.

Criticism is part of the game and it will happen if players don't seem to care less.

I watched it on YouTube yeah, and yeah it was absolutely disgraceful.

Had the bloke been standing around waiting for players to turn up so he could have a go at them? Surely he must have something better to do.....

Unfortunately because we are in the third tier
    We don’t have good footballers
However if they give there best we can’t ask for anymore
Nevertheless abusing the players is not the answer

Definitely not the best answer but often all the supporters have.

If these players gave their best, at Lincoln, we're screwed tbh.

Yeh unfortunately our best is often not good enough
However it’s sometimes is and I feel it’s down to the other poor teams
If we work extremely hard I’m sure we could have enough to get us promoted
Nevertheless working extremely hard every game is proving very difficult

I personly dont think Flansgan will lose any sleep over it when he's checking his bank balance.

He looks a nice kid to me, limited maybe, but doing his best. No need for this cowardly, disrespectful, behaviour it does tarnish the image of the club. We are Sunderland not Portsmouth, I like to think so anyway.

blokes at work dare not work/do what they are doing or they would get the mickey took out of them, would they bottle maybe they would and get out, or get sacked but footballers are imune to sacking but should take stick/critisism when they are poor. Marco is now on the radio sticking up for Ross and the team and a caller said lincoln were 4 divisions below us and that is the sad fact, and shocking. brighton beat Spurs 3-0 yesterday but had no ground and in league 2 a few years ago. They can gan into that dressing room after being crap and just agree with each other and get away with it, it is not just Flanagan now its the other Ross's signings in the summer and that sums this club's history up. The collapse has started early in the season now and needs sorting out. This does not help the takeover either.

The takeover is messing with everyone no question, Ross must know he’s a dead man walking, the entire coaching and playing staff will be concerned about their futures and It’s definitely getting to the fans who are a powder keg of emotion. It needs sorting before we’re cut adrift and the fans go into a Chernobyl-esq meltdown.

I think any manager would struggle to be successful here with the negativity cloud that hangs around the place like a bad smell. This bloke abusing a player is just the tip of the iceberg. The owner and his family have had received all kinds of abuse and threats on social media, as has Ross.
If anything was to put these investors off then it would surely be the actions of these so called fans.

Sorry mate but that's bullshit. What if Flanaghan is mentally on the edge?

I was verbally bullied almost my entire childhood and for quite a lot of my adult working life. It still gets to me when people make comments now "Sticks and stones" is bullshit - I have a very healthy bank balance and make good money doing what I do, but have been verbally abused which still affects me regardless of that.
