Because if people are right that they've pulled the plug having seen how much it costs to get to the PL then they are pretty much the last people I'd want at the club. I mean, who decides to buy a club, agrees a price, sets up a holding company, forensically examines the books, comes over for a match and then suddenly, months down the line, realises it's canny expensive to get to the PL and pulls out?

If that's true (and at present I've no reason to doubt it) then just how bad a light does that show them in? It's absolutely crazy. It also suggests that they were hoping to get up on a shoe string which hardly ties in with what we were hoping to get from them. Equally just because others spent loads to get there doesn't mean we'd need, so it also shows a massive lack of confidence in their ability to get the structure needed to avoid it costing a fortune. If that's their knowledge of what they thought they were buying then they'd have to be as clueless as Short.

It's so ridiculous I almost think it has to be true, you actually couldn't make it up! Hopefully things change and we find it isn't the case and it all goes through of course, but if it's right I don't know that we'd want them involved tbh
