Fingers crossed your info about this going through early next week is correct .the feel good factor and goodwill towards the owners and club seems to be evaporating quickly .

    1) He is a supporter and wants the supporter experience.
    2) Wan'ts to get feedback from a range of match-going supporters not just those from forums which don't always reflect the views of supporters.

The problem is that when they go down that route they can often go too far and the other person just thinks "f*ck that" and walks away, even knowing maybe it's not in his/her best interests to do so, but won't accept bullying tactics.

Assuming SD is indeed on his way/or already in the States, I think the situation can be interpreted in one of two ways.

    a) If he is there at their invitation they are hoping to get him out of his comfort zone and onto their 'turf' to get concessions.

    OR

    b) If he requested the meeting they will interpret it as a sign of weakness and will, indeed, "squeeze his pips".

Either way I just hope SD can keep his temper in check, under the pressure he'll be put under.

I would be surprised if Tony Davison was replaced.
I'm sure I read on one of the thousands of posts on here/ RTG, that the people in the consortium were acquainted with Daniel Levy in some way. If this was the case, and Davison was indeed held in such high regard by Spurs, I would imagine that they would have consulted with Levy, and probably obtained a glowing reference.

A lot of what he said is true. Donald is a jolly fine chap who I believe does things with the best of intentions unfortunately he has made a lot of mistakes

I just don't get how they can be so unfit, it seems us fans can see this but the management team cant.
You look at the top teams, they leave nothing on the pitch. Our boys are ****ed after 60 mins and blowing out of their arses, what Do they do all bloody week?

The bloke is emotionless, I think he's now lost the players the fans and the away fans, it's time to hit the road Jack

I am not a big fan of levy but no one can deny that he has done an excellent job at spurs in terms of finance and other than the most recent blip, very well on the pitch.
That said I just dont see him mixing with the rank and file supporters..and why should he.
The oft used phrase ' he gets us' that fans use re managers and owners is utter frog5hit.
It's a fanciful notion totally divorced from reality and confused by fans with actions eg painting faded seats.
I want an owner /CEO who is brutal with underperforming managers and who wants the club to make a quid

Fair comment and it is difficult to argue against the success of Levy. Personally, I've liked SD's approach though - don't think Levy would have came anywhere near us.

Tbh donald and his cohort should be keeping well away from formal and informal fan gatherings until this takeover is finalized one way or another.
Sometimes he cant hold his tongue and maybe sometimes he could be misquoted/taken out of context.
I would imagine potential new owners must be seething with sd's penchant ro ingratiate himself.
What owners want and what fans will want will always cause hassle.

I am still reading the odd thread on RTG and I don’t get the constant demand for the sacking of Coton and Hill if and when the takeover goes through.

To a degree, Hill will be learning on the job and has obviously not performed his role in higher leagues but SD clearly has faith in his abilities. Also these complaints that Coton’s recruitment has been poor but the players such as Grigg, Power, Reece, Willis have all played to a high standard / scored a bolt load / won the league with other clubs. The only truly bad player is Wyke and obviously signed on the back of a really good season or two with Bradford.

Perhaps Ross is a great coach/trainer but lacks that tactical nous to get the team consistently performing good, attacking football. Someone mentioned it elsewhere but we have not consistently performed well since the start of last season under his tutelage.

I think a lot of the frustration is that we've not really had a clever recruitment approach. The cabbage on SMB goes on about it a lot more but you wonder how much they actually analyse statistics before signing players. It just seems to have been a "he's been promoted, he's scored a few" type approach. Last season we were crying out for pace and power (not max!), same as the end of the season. We haven't got either and that's quite inexcusable, plenty other clubs have had quick, direct players, and the odd powerful ****er in the middle. Instead we brought Leadbitter in who wasn't really what we needed.

We then had all of this summer and didn't really address it (in fact in Morgan we lost one of the more direct players and didn't really replace him). A lot might be down to Ross not getting the most out of them, but they also look a bit thrown together, hence not having any obvious style of play. In the last home game I thought that maybe we'd finally got a centre back partnership that might complement each other albeit they were poor like everyone else yesterday. I can absolutely understand the recruitment team being looked at along with Ross tbh

    I read it somewhere,
that’s new day coaches do it now, they tell the team before kick off, how he want them setting up and playing etc, halve time do adjustments If need be, then full time, feedback etc, Supposedly shouting and raving at the touch line is old school.

well that’s what I read anyway

Just can’t see the owner having the balls to sack him unless his hand is forced from above, if he did he would’ve gone after Bolton.

My main worry is that all the abuse, and at times utter bile, being directed towards the current owner, manager and players will scare the potential investors off.

I couldn't disagree more, with the highlighted text as being acceptable for SAFC.

We need someone who knows what he's doing, not the equivalent of a YTS, but earning considerably more for a job that is beyond him, if his appointments are what we should judge him by.
