So Johnson's cunning plan is to get Hungary to veto an A50 extension. Well you've got to ask for one first pal, or will you be found dead in a ditch? Surely colluding with a foreign power to impose untold damage on one's own country is treason?
I can’t vote in the London elections (obviously) but if it was on personality then Shaun Bailey looks a good bet......shame he’s a Tory.
I like Bailey as well but I just don't think he is well known enough to make a winning impact especially for the Tories who will be at a demographic disadvantage in London. To win this type of election you need a head start, Livingstone already had been Mayor when he won as an independent and Boris had a high profile as well. Khan was an MP and Minister so he was quite well known, that is where Rory might have a chance as he made a positive impact during the leadership election. Sadly, I think Khan will win again, he is a very good manipulator of social media and targets many of the minority groups that will, along with the core Labour vote, be enough to win. Rory will split the opposition vote more than taking much off Khan...
I’m not so sure Soops. I’ve seen Bailey on TV on numerous occasions recently and he has always come across as well articulate, well versed and a generally nice guy. Agree that Rory (who looks and sounds more like Tony Blair every time I see him interviewed) could split the opposition vote, but I do think Bailey is in with a chance as many are fed up with Khan and, rightly or wrongly, he’s seen as doing a **** job.

Scientists fear the EU’s European Food Safety Agency (EFSA) is too eager to approve additives such as the controversial sweetener aspartame, which has been linked to increased rates of cancer, and are failing to consider the long term impact of additives on the human body. Health campaigners say potentially dangerous food additives that are banned in the US are being allowed for use in British products because of ‘lax’ EU rules and the “weakness” of the UK’s Food Standards Authority (FSA). Officials planning to ease any congestion on the transport links to Dover have encountered the potential for an embarrassing issue: a rise in “dogging”. At the Conservative Party conference last week, one member of the cabinet confessed that a side effect of increased congestion in Kent from stalled truck drivers would be an increase in the number of lorry drivers visiting voyeuristic sex sites in the Garden of England. “One of the things we talk about in these no-deal meetings concerns hauliers and their activities,” the minister said. “The main thing is whether they will turn up at the Channel ports with the…

David Chalmers, who is attempting to unseat the Attorney General, posted on Facebook that “divisions that have split families and friends have led to huge rises in violent crime on our streets and domestic abuse in our homes”. In another social media post he compared the fight to stop Brexit like defeating the Nazis. "We knew and are beginning to feel how badly leaving the EU is going to impact on this country and especially areas like Devon and Cornwall,” he wrote. “So we have to stop this - just as we stopped the Nazis in Germany...
