Destroyed Bamba's ankle in the U21 internationals Destroyed Ritchie's ankle in the Carabao Cup Tried to destroy Salah's ankle in the PL Complete scum
It wasn't a penalty; yes there was contact but not enough to prevent Mane from continue, proved by the fact he briefly continued before deciding to go down. It wasn't a red card. It was just a tactical foul performed so badly he missed the man! A yellow card is fair. Players get injured from all sorts of things, it doesn't have to be assault ffs
He didn't aim to hurt him with his thigh did he... He missed the tackle/tactical foul but caught him with the follow through.
Think I said yesterday that I was erring on side of no pen Still not convinced either way defo but I would have been very unhappy if given against us but can’t agree on the yellow It was totally reckless his intention was to take the player out It was not a professional foul as he was out of control He did not care what happened to the opponent so red for me Thought Klopps take on it was spot on mind in the interview I heard where he called on the lad to just calm down. Choudhry has done this before and if he isn’t careful he will really injure someone.
A reckless challenge, clearly intended to stop the move by fair means or foul, resulting in a game ending (possibly worse) injury to a player - what more do you want?
Committing a clever foul to stop play does not mean you have to injure the player, another way is shirt pulling
More? I'd prefer less! However, yellow or red cards aren't determined by what we want. It wasn't two footed, his studs weren't up, he wasn't off the ground, he didn't (initially) get the man and he missed the target (man or ball). If that's a red, games will end 8 vs 8 every week. #gameofopinions
Pretty sure I didn't see 5 similar challenges in our game yesterday so what are all the other reds for?
