For the attention of roto. You are a legend mate. I had 20notes on that horse @8/1 and got all my mates on it too. There's some rich geordies right now and its all down to you. Take a bow and thanks again
ROTO you have made my day. I walked into the bookies at about quarter to five, stuck £3 on Don't Call Me and then used a chunk of those winnings on MURURA! But more so for the fact you deserve it mate, terrific. It didn't half get a bit tight at the finish <phew>
just had chance to look through the thread and results. at the crab fair with friends in egremont because one of the gang grew up here. my only advice is never go to Cumbria. what a **** hole and probably the most unwelcoming place I've ever been to and a huge number of people look like they are total scum bags. now I've got that off my chest brilliant shout roto. you've been talking that up for ages. i'm raging about not being able to back it. I've now resolved to never leave my imac.
Well lads just in from the bookies and lets just say they were raped! Delighted a lot of you got on and I hope you went large as I don' think I could have put him up in a more confident fashion. My heart was in my mouth when he decided to front run as I think he's a much better horse coming from off the pace. He front ran before to good effect in the race where he short headed to Roicead and I have a sneaky suspicion Probert said nothing could come off the pace or they were afraid he'd find trouble in such a big field but he got there and thats the main thing! Can't wait to see how much further he can progress as I think he'll do a lot more from coming off the pace. Top ride by Probert also!
ROTO, I could not believe the price of him in that race. It was so winnable given his strong form in very good handicaps. Will be interesting to see if he can progress but I think I'll be playing with small interest next time, as those sprint handicaps are an absolute nightmare at the top levels.
To be honest I was shocked also! I think the fact he was up against loads of horses on winning streaks blinded the bookies*. So so happy they didn't run him in 1 of the cups at Ayr! He won't go up more than 5lb for that I would say and I think in a field of 10-12 he'll revert tactics from coming off the pace!
went there 20 years ago for weeks holiday and never went back. Seems like the old place hasn't changed
ROTO and many thanks, managed to get some 10/1 Also had an E/W on the Ayr Gold Cup 3rd Son Of The Cat and just missed out on the placepot at Ayr - Silenceofthewind let me down in leg 5, finished 6th Quite enjoyed doing the placepot, first time I have done it. May well have a go tomorrow somewhere.
Roto Apologies, I didn't read the entire thread before making my post, I'm not heavily into the flat so don't contribute to the daily thread too often at this time of year, I do have a couple of decent contacts who give me good info although reading your preview there were certainly form lines anyway that you cleverly spotted. Well done, hope you cleaned up.
Couldn't be more drunk right now but I know the bookies are crying! I think every1 here can can vouch for me as I don't like to showboat but I cant not in this situation! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM
