I think we're looking at it wrong. We're in a difficult marriage, but this dude owns the house, the car, the Xbox, has a pre-nup which ensures we're lumbered with unhappy children, and so on. We might as well make the most of the roof, the games, the food, the Merc even if we're not keen on the bloke. Maybe if the fans as a whole changed their approach and worked WITH him, things might change for the better. Here's why I think that: 1) We cannot force him out. 2) I don't think he'll EVER sell - trying to 'make' him digs him in further. 3) The club is financially solid and well run. 4) The bad decisions are because he's misguided and detached from the fans. 5) What about the next owner, if they ever appear? Would we just set a dangerous precedence? 6) Is that precedence already putting prospective owners off? 7) The team will play better with real support behind them, which is better for everyone. 8) We've had it worse, with McKeag and ( I would argue) Shepherd. Ashley's never put the future of NUFC at risk. 9) Sometimes you have to stick it in reverse to get somewhere. It's a lot to ask. It's probably too much to ask. But I honestly believe this club would achieve an awful lot more if the focus shifted from Ashley, if we were the 'better man' in all of this and just offered up an olive branch.
Nah Ashley is feeling this ! keep it going. also this American company seems to be keen and i'll be happy with them ! sounds like they will focus on brining youth through which means updating facilities and we will have an identity.. not rich , but at least they have a plan football wise rather than just running it like a cheap shop.
These guys bought out a part of Bordeaux for around £81 Million. The leader of the group is currently the chairman of Bordeaux and Kenyon is a football man so, we will have some people involved that actually understand how the sport works, a nice change. I pray this happens to be honest, at this point I'd be happy to see a bank send in administrators as opposed to Ashley.
I agree I will be so pleased to get rid of Ashley provided the new owner tries to do something that makes sense!
