I hope not because he will be an all time legend in not just Arsenal terms but in British football terms, but he is starting to look like a heavyweight boxer who has gone a few fights too many, is too old and taken too many hits. I think the man needs a change for his own sake and Arsenal's. I really hope I'm wrong though. Good luck for the rest of the year....I would say "but not at our expense" but you definately had that last week!
Sorry to have to beat you last week but as you can imagine we are feeling a lot sorrier this weekend!! I think Arsene's future may be out of his hands if he doesn't deliver a change of fortune to the team. It isn't all his fault. The board bear a responsibility for the state of the club and team and the players themselves have to shoulder their share of the blame as well. However there are areas where Arsene could change in respect of the team's performance but he appears so set in his ways. A major difference between Arsene and SAF is adaptability. I'm really surprised Arsene is so intransigent. Perhaps the successes of the early years came too soon and he began to believe too much in his own Midas touch. If it isn't all his fault then he should be prepared to bare all. If not sadly, the finger will point in his direction. It would be lamentable but he has at least to make certain changes. I'll bet he is aware of RvP's reported desire to play in a free role but has Arsene himself tried it out? He knows Walcott is a striker yet he plays him out of position. Instead of using the players to draw out their potential, he appears to stifle them in the hope of perhaps giving them wider experience. It's all too silly and if he does not do enough, it will be a case of too little and too late. Just as the late last minute shopping spree at the end of August. Enjoy friend
Thats an interesting point, but as we don't have access to what happens behind the scenes we can't prove it either way.
Do you think Martin Keown was really that important for us? I can't see him being responsible for our entire defensive unit. Great defending comes from repetition, repetition and more repetition in training. Unless Keown was running our defensive sessions then i'm not sure how he could do it.
Pulis for Arsenal!!!!!!! well at least the back four would be good .AW lost the dressing room i think.People say dont sack him but we are ruddlerless now and in freefall. Much as i hate to say this signing shawcross and jagekia would of sorted this defence out. They young but they can play. As for ramseys prolem with shawcross tell him get over it and grow up.
So you think our poor defense comes from a lazy attitude then? In that case do we need a new defensive coach or just a new manager.
I am certain that Vermaelen, Sagna and Szczesny don't have a lack of desire. Too early to make judgements on Santos and Mertesacker. Koscielny is just not enough of a battler. Don't know that the **** is wrong with Djourou.
