@VVD If you're about later were going to the thirsty bear not to far from Dblock if your still round that way. Welcome for a drink .
Worth posting. Hopefully more are killed that way in the coming months. We can consider it, giving something back to nature.
On a similar note, I was reading yesterday that bovine TB is rising fastest in the areas where they have already culled badgers. I’ll try and find the link. Edit: here: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/sep/15/badger-cull-bovine-tuberculosis-tb-farming
I have it on good authority that it is European badgers moving into areas that have been cleared by culls to take advantage of the available housing
And they are taking all our jobs......thus keeping our benefit claimers...............well ...........claiming. #donttrusteurobadgers.
I heard that the EU were paying foxes to wear black and white coats and spread TB amongst cattle. A whistle-blower told me that foxes were the obvious choice to incriminate British badgers as foxes hold an unfair long term grudge against wholesome sport living Tories on horseback with packs of dogs.
I had the misfortune to spend most of the afternoon and evening in your neck of the woods today Richie...my God does Pighill ever have more than its fair share of the ugly, the useless and the unemployable. I worked there for 6 years until 2014 and had blanked from my mind the reasons why I worked through my lunchbreaks rather than have a wander through the town centre. The highlight today was people racing each other, two up, on mobility scooters from Metro Bank to Debenhams
Must admit the town centre is pretty much a ****hole these days.....20 odd years ago it was a great night out with loads of good restaurants to choose from......now days it's crap. The wife and I only have another 7 years left here then we are moving on to semi retire. Ps ...what brought you round these parts?
I live 25 miles from Swindon, so it's my nearest big town. My youngest daughter was helping with backstage production (hair and make-up) for a production of War of the Worlds at the Wyvern. She doesn't drive and it was 2 performances yesterday so took her in, hung about whilst she did her thing for a couple of hours. Then grabbed some food, then she was back to the theatre for the next bit so got home about 11:00pm I worked in Swindon in 2000/2001 and agree that it used to be better than now, especially Old Town. Doesn't explain the number that fell out of the ugly tree and hit every branch though
I moved here 20 years ago to work at Honda....only got 18 months left until they shut. We went out up old town just the other week and my goodness did we feel old And yes there are plenty of ugly benefit scrounging people in the town centre mostly begging and can’t be bothered to work .......looking forward to moving in 7 years time.
