I doubt there were many of us who doubted the sense in buying Grigg. No one could have predicted we would then be incapable of getting the best out of him
We’re all mad here....the tablets help. I think in this case everyone seems to be agreeing one one thing...Ross out. Although whomever it was who dared even mention Moyes name should be Tarred feathered and banned for life
Well you wouldn’t get very good odds on it, put it that way. I’ve seen a couple of ‘where are all the Ross lovers now’ type posts. It’s not that at all it’s just people have different opinions and some are willing to give managers longer than others. It doesn’t make either side right or wrong.
Maja, for all he wasn’t a great footballer, he couldn’t half make it happen. How many turn and hit goals did he score? Now, people use him leaving as a valid handicap for Ross, but on the flip side of that, did Maja having that finishing ability cloak that Ross was actually ****e from day one? Think back, we were even then often unconvincing but Maja would batter one from nowhere. That’s the gaffer being lucky to have him, rather than unlucky to lose him.
I don't think the atmosphere on the training ground and behind the scenes would be toxic if he stayed on for a bit longer, the players seem to like him. The positive is continuity while we line up Pep.
Will be people gloating that they we're right as they wanted Ross out all along... cba with that ****e. Don't care about point scoring the only points I care about Ross isn't bringing us so he has to go... He's on the Radio now lets hear what he has to say....
I meant in the stands mate, he does seem liked by the players but they must be baffled as we are about how he sets it all up.
No I don't think we should keep him forever but I don't think we'll be better off managerless. If this takeover is far enough through for the new owners to commit to a manager then fair enough we need to get on with it but they'll need to improve the recruitment team before January or we'll be no further forward. My point C) was meant to indicate that without more money for wages SD is unlikely to make a better appointment 2nd time around
Well there's ONE change from the usual JR defense of himself in the post match conference, he's not going to defend today:
No idea what the stats are, ignore them. People quoted stats at Bolton which made us look good. We weren't, it's a total shambles.
Just heard it on the Radio there, he's just not up for the job tbh. Seems a canny enough bloke but he's just not good enough.
You're right for the most part but let's say he never left, I'm sure we would have gone up and it'd be ****ing harsh not to give a manager credit for getting promoted at the first time of asking. He gets slated for not getting the most out of his players, when one does perform above and beyond he gets no praise for it. Can't win.
We've gradually got worse since he was appointed. As another poster said earlier Maja made him look better than he was soon as he's left we've looked ****e apart from the odd game. Even when we've won we haven't proper hammered a team yet and that is a joke in this division.
Which is what that performance deserved. Against a team spanked six - nowt last home game. God the pre-season target of 100 points by the owners seems like a piss take now.
