I'm just pleased the new date works with my offshore rotation as well.

The takeover obviously has to take precedence over everything atm. Get that sorted first then go back to normal business etc.

Someone from RTG, who point blank refuses to post anything ITK, because of the totally predictable instant torrent of abuse from the troll-clique, warned me about the cancellation of the talk in.

I took the precaution of sending his message to someone on here, who I trust, so I could bring it up as 'evidence' when I was inevitabley called a liar. 2 other people, with genuine contacts, warned me that there would be news about the talk in date being changed. I filed those messages for future reference. Do these mugs accusing me really think I'd just make things up and offer bets without having anything to back mesel up <laugh>

So, I'll make the usual offer to the keyboard warriors, put £1000 on me lying or shut your mouth.

I sent my 'Fuhrman WhatsApp message' to @Rocky, and 2 other people, for that same reason.

I sent the flight details, of the Americans, to trusted posters so I could always back up what I've said.

I do this with every piece of itk info I get so I can shove it back in the faces of the doubters.

The £1000 is there for any of them, if they're so sure I'm a liar the money's here waiting ....

Incidentally it was nice to see the debate on the subject of the new badge ...

... I may be naive but imo that's the point of chat forums, not to start pointless arguments.

Even if there's never a new badge at least it got people thinking & thinking and produced some genuine laughs ....

... and a classic new avatar!

Unless I'm totally deluded surely that's the reason we're all here.

It's been good crack over here mate and, I believe, more people post because they don't have that fear of ridicule etc. and posters take it or leave it, post their opinion or counter argument and move on without holding a grudge.

Also, Mr 55p badge is one of the best things to come out of social media and you just can't argue with that! <laugh>

Here's a positive spin on things....

As his talk is delayed for the best part of two months, it suggests that Stuart Donald will almost certainly remain as chairman.

But Donald came out and said the day after consett and I quote ‘’we will know 1 or 2 weeks ‘’ which obviously would have took us up to the Stadium of Light talk in date. He must know a lot of people would assume there is a problem with the takeover by putting it back. It all just seems a bit amateurish, like he’s almost teasing the fans but then letting them down a bit. Is there any update please that you have heard or is it just a waiting game at the moment? Enjoy Lincoln today.

Consett didn't go as planned, surprise surprise, and things were said that shouldn't.

It's like a Bob Dylan song, people read way more into the words which then become certain facts.

So many people have given deadlines when in reality, even those at the heart of it aren't sure.

Someone at the club told me, RR, ALS, that it was imminent.

Someone at the club told the BBC it was 4 days.

Someone at the club told Barnes 'next week' for the past 3 weeks.

My info is that it's done but the Americans are pushing for better final terms, that's how they are.

They want other people to pay for various projects outside the stadium, and around the town, but will lap up the credit.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the rich become super rich.

I'm sure they've factored in a few things, not sure if it includes your offshore rotation :emoticon-0102-bigsm:emoticon-0102-bigsm

When the takeover is done, do we all think the communication from the club will continue?

I love the openness we have now it I think we would agree SD sometimes gets in a bit of a pickle when he is "off script"

Possibly not but a cancellation at this point would likely result in a meltdown so a simple postponement is halfway house.

Anything can be read into anything at present.

I'm sure this current situation is absolutely killing SD and Charlie who will be dying to tell us everything they know but simply cant.

    Absolutely bang on mate.

They've had some career highlights but this is the Champions League compared to the Checkatrade ...

    ... time of their lives.

I can’t get my head around why these Americans who live thousands of miles away give a hoot about projects outside the ground. Surly when they come in just get the club successful. Investment into the city would them naturally follow.
