They only care about profit. , not loyalty to wenger . The time comes when he costs the club money with his tactics they WILL drop him. Hes just another employee who aint pulling his weight , nothing personal , just business . please god hahahahahah .
And who will make as much money as Wenger? The new man will want money to spend to build his own team and so on.
The ffp rules are fine. But I think clubs should also not be able to make a huge profit which is then taken by owners. Any profits should be forced to be retained in clubs. Football isnt a business. Football clubs should be not for profit organisations.
Yup. I am not going out of protest from now on. Maybe when they charge £30 for a ticket I will go back. And I hate the board for denying me live games.
Fair prices I would value at between £20 and £35. So you can get seats for £20 (maybe less) and the best seats (not club section) are £35
£35 buys a bottle of Ridge Geyserville 2008 from Adnams with £1 change. I know which would guarantee to offer a more memorably enjoyable experience.
Not if we get Gus Hiddink. If Arsene is unable to turn the tide then going on his volition would preserve his reputation and legacy.
Please don't take my post as me being a wind up merchant, but due to my own teams struggles over the last 30 years, I have been a keen follower of Premier league football even before my team Swansea joined the big show. I think you owe a lot more of your success and flair in the last 15 years to a certain Mr Graham's boring, boring Arsenal than is given credit. Since George Graham's defensive wall retired, what has Mr Wenger replaced them with?? All your success apart from an FA cup win has included the rock that is Graham's defence and ethos. Your manager was blessed with a very talented defensive base and then just needed to add the building blocks up front to make the Arsenal team and style you love. He obviously has the ability to coach those defensive based players to become a little more adventurous and to help build attacks and maintain posession. However, his defensive signings since have been more about the beautiful game first ,and he seems inable to make them defensive rocks (i.e. coach an attacker into a defender). He is a fantastic manager, with wonderful vision and ability to bring on attacking youngsters and I hope for his/your sakes he proves me and a lot of your own fans wrong, but I couldn't help but notice this trait. Swansea fan in peace
You're forgetting that Wenger created the invincibles defence swimaway which is a notable flaw in your argument. However I agree that defenders are not players that he has a good eye for.
I disagree, Martin Keown was still a player in that year and would have brought the Graham ethos through. Granted, both him and Parlour played sparingly and left the year after, but they would have been influential in developing that sides defensive strength as were the many Graham men before them. It would have been them teaching them the defensive skills, through the newer players learning from the old masters and the competition for places that created the 'Invincible' back four. Is it any coincidence that when all Graham's boys finally left the club as respected players, so left the defensive stability that the very same Wenger created back four had the year before?
Peace to you too Mr Swimaway. Well I would have thought that it was Arsene's or his coaches' responsibility to teach the youngsters about defence, offence and every thing there was to know about how to win a game. The problem with Arsene Wenger is that he has a mental block on defensive strategies and an inability to adapt to changing circumstances. I cannot think how many times it has been said that the team lacked a Plan B. Well this relates to front, back and the midfield. I've persevered with Wenger for a long time and while I thought my faith was renewed following the close of the transfer window I am now beginning to wonder if he as run out of ideas. 15+ years in the same high-pressured job is a long time for anyone. Unless he can turn this tide around, he may start to lose a lot of support.
