Too much space between the players therefore a lot of space to have to chase around once we get given the run around...you can’t close as a pack so they end up chasing individually till dead on their feet

As usual everyone but Poch sees it

I was away in Edinburgh and didn't see the game just saw the result on my phone. I shall not watch any extracts (can't call then highlights) so I am relatively unscathed. We will see what happens at Brighton not the greatest test in the world. Having said all that I still have some hope that when we actually get the advantage of our three new signings, with which we have had really bad luck, we can begin to turn this awful start to our season round.

I'm hoping Spurs can go to Germany for the return.....and win. After all,we should have had 3 goals by halftime which Bayern may not have recovered from!!!?

Have to say I was honestly shocked when I heard that result. You've got real problems.

It isn't. We already hold that after losing 8-0 with a bunch of randoms in the Intertoto.

    @humanbeingincroydon you'll enjoy this.

Also, Joe Cole is a reasonably astute pundit. Who knew?

How do we approach this game, now? We're both through and neither can change places in the table.
The first match was an utter humiliation but our league position is more important than trying to correct that.
Do we play a full first team, rotate a bit or stick the reserves in?

I’d mix it up a bit...give the fringe a chance.

However we don’t want to risk a hammering again...I suspect many of our players may be pooping it with the 7-2 at the forefront of their thoughts and Bayern will try to tap into it that no doubt and Jose won’t be wanting a performance that saps morale so maybe some first teamers too just to make sure?

So basically I have no idea whatsoever.

Squad and reserves for me. I’m not sure a win or loss does anything confidence wise because it’s essentially meaningless game.

Seeing as we’re out of the League Cup, it’s a rare chance to rest key players whilst also being able field a rotated side to allow some to impress/ gain match fitness.

I’d hope to see the likes of Vorm/ Austin, KWP, Foyth, Tanganga, Skipp, Parrott all get a start, whilst players like Jan, Tanguy, Gio, Eriksen and Lamela (if back by then) getting minutes too.

Bit early for this, no ?? :)

    On that basis ...

Spurs hopefully could be on a Jose era run of 5 consecutive wins by then.
If so, then maintaining the winning run + pride in avenging the 2-7 is everything.

Jose isn't one to bother about reputation in a meaningless game. He will talk with BM manager and they will settle on a respectable score-possibly 2-0 to Bayern and then both teams will field weakened teams. As DH said, squad players and reserves.
The game coming before the busy Xmas schedule, our important players who have played all the games so far will not travel ( Kane, Son ).

    No they won't.

Munich will do what they did in the Audi cup game, and what
Barca did in the CL game nearly a year go.

They will start with a weakened side that they believe is good enough
to win, but with immense firepower on the bench if events mean they
are looking at a loss at home (humiliating or otherwise) .

Plus I think they will want to win 6 out of 6 plus I can imagine Lewandowski will be licking his lips and like any world class striker will be eager to add to his tally. Our defence is our weakness after all.

    27 so far this season
