Well i enjoyed it. No commentary for starters, could just hear the atmosphere in the ground. Also the dutch side were taking no prisoners, so to not get yourself sent off in that game they did well. Only one lucky escape, that defo looked like a handball in the box....are they not using VAR?
Ah right, get yer. Clear handball so lucky escape that one, although not on purpose. Although just read the media write up, don't know why the press are giving United such a hard time. Difficult ground, difficult pitch, very volatile atmosphere.
I think there's a lot of pressure from the fans and I think there's a lot of man united fans involved in media, so it's creating a poisonous atmosphere at the club and crazy pressure on the players. They will nonetheless get a boost on Sunday when they get an easy win at St James's … might be a turning point.
Bellerin and Tierney starting for Arsenal. Great to see us playing with two proper fullbacks for the first time in ****ing months ! Watch the lad Tierney, he's going to tear up the PL
And it was 70% reserves, pretty much. We also should have had a pen when Rashford was fouled late on. Still, we were ****e and it's a competition we are clearly not taking seriously so a self fulfilling performance ultimately. We played Arsenal Monday night for **** sake so it's clearly also a competition the premier league and TV stations hold in contempt. If we get to the knockouts, we can try to win it. Until then, it's training pace fodder.
See that's sort of game i'd pay to watch though, reminded me of the old Forest European clashes. Still remember that night of the bent ref....can't remember the team though, some one like Anderlect or Athletico.
They can say what the **** they like, they don't represent a single United fan of any note. It's like saying you represent Liverpool fans.
