I used to live in 200 Winchester Road. We used to go to the Griffin however. There was a pub called the Sword (or Shield ?) and Dagger nearby which was a real skanky dive - and I`m not fussy!
not confident at all about this game our home form is awful& chelsea are getting much better annoyingly it looks like this season is going to be another struggle ! god knows what team RH will go for this time!
I've always found it odd/impressive people's memories for football games. I could barely tell you who Saints played first game of the season this year, let alone the score or goal scorers. Go back a season and I'd have no chance (the big games aside, but then I would remember who we played and if won/lost but no chance on the score or scorers). One of my dad's mates has some ridiculous memory for games, especially considering he has been going to watch the majority of Bristol Rovers games since he was about 10 and must be 60 now. Can tell you the score from some random game in the 70s and scorers etc, I find it crazy.
Funnily enough I'm better with games from the 90's than I am from the last 10 years. Probably because I was sober for the most part.
Absolute horror show. Following a balls up with my annual leave, I was forced to call in a favour to get Saturday off to go to the game. But it’s not on Saturday is it? I expect you all knew that. I didn’t. Sod the PL.
You sure that wasnt Ides throwing chairs when Spuds lost the Champions League final Only joking Ides, love you really.
I consider Chelsea to be a bogey team. Over the years sometimes we've been on a great run, with a great side and still managed to get thumped by them at St Mary's. Hope it isn't the case but I was trying to be open with the 0-3 loss prediction. I do feel it coming though unless Hassenhuttl has a tactical masterstroke up his sleeve and the players bring their A game.
Hope those weren't the golden ages. Hopefully we can get that good again in a few seasons. Remember that goal vividly.
No, that would have been the final insult. I was already rostered for Sunday. The really annoying thing is, I book a lot of days in advance, using up valuable leave days, as soon as the fixtures come out. Then come the inevitable changes to suit Sky. This one caught me out, and now I either tell my boss, 'you know what, I don't want that Saturday off now', or I waste a day's leave. Think I'll take the day off anyway now, and go to the allotment. I've said it a thousand times - no other business could get away with treating it's customers the way football clubs and the PL treat supporters.
