Excellent Dave. I have barely heard a bad word said about the MG ZS EV. Some people have moaned a little about the charging door opening, but even they say it's carping, because the whole vehicle is otherwise surprisingly good. Don't leave your order too long, as MG are matching the government's rebate for a short while only. And don't forget that they will supply you with a charging point at home for nothing. Oh, and Congrats LTL. [keep forgetting to add that to posts on here]
On the subject of bread, a man was in a bakery where the shop assistant was a very attractive young lady, wearing an extremely short skirt. When asked what he would like, he looked to the highest shelf and asked for Raisin bread. The young lady dutifully climbed a small ladder, revealing tomorrow’s washing and on returning to the counter the customer apologised and said that he needed 2 loaves, sending her back up the ladder, whilst he, and the next man in the queue, copped an eyeful. After finishing serving this man the next customer also requested Raisin bread, and it went on like this for several male customers, until the young lady, whilst at the top of the ladder, looked to the last customer in the queue and asked “I suppose yours is raisin too.” The old man replied “ Not raisin but it is beginning to twitch a bit.”
I've watched 3 reviews on youtube, all say the same thing. (could someone lend me 22k?) It'll save the environment!
but seriously, when a second hand EV is about 5k I could afford one. I hope you guys will review them when they're in my price range
I just did a quick loan calculation online. Borrowing £22,000 over 5 years would cost me more than my mortgage payments! Maybe leasing will be possible soon, and maybe the government will start a scrappage scheme for EV’s.
I'm in the same boat SiS. I just try to limit my journeys, do everything by bicycle where I can, jump in on friends shopping trips, etc. And be imaginative. Incidentally, talking about responsible power, remember this? General Electric's 12MW 853ft tall wind turbine. One alone can power 16,000 homes. Well they are going to install 300 of these on Dogger Bank by 2023, powering 4.5 million homes: https://www.theguardian.com/environ...wind-turbines-to-be-built-off-yorkshire-coast It will be the world's largest wind farm.
Is like our company to have EV options but we couldn’t even choose a hybrid because lease companies have no idea of the resale value on these cars, therefore they don’t want to play ball. * for high mileage users.
Off to Barolo country tomorrow on a wine tasting trip. Am driving. Fast going off this being engaged lark
You tell me when <ahem> “work” brings you south and I’ll make you your very own loaf. Give me warning though, as it’s effectively a 2 day job - start about 1pm day 1 and bake first thing the next day. But for you, my friend .....
Ill be back in the capital by tonight. As nice as the country is I feel like im living in the stone age down here.
