It is 29 degrees here today, was 34 degrees yesterday. I passed a stool this morning before my shower, the same as every morning.

I find autumnal is always the best way to describe autumn <ok>

    Has your headache gone away?

Does your head fit in the shower or do you have to leave it poking out buddy?

I'm much better today, thanks. I fed the ducks and geese earlier, which was very nice. I then went for a coffee at my favourite cafe in Benfleet. After this post, I'm going to read for a while and perhaps have a cheeky kip. Today is a day for doing very little.

    What are you up to?

I hope you didn't feed the ducks bread? That is a big "no-no" these days, you should feed them the likes of corn, oats or frozen peas instead <ok>

Not doing much today, was going to watch some rugby but I didn't really fancy either of the games on today.

I fed the ducks and geese an excellent mix of corn and oats. They were most grateful. The odd-bit of bread won't do much damage, but I do try to educate others, just as you obviously do. <ok>

Have you got any books on the go?

Yes, I certainly do, I'm reading a book by Gabriel Garcia Marquez called News of a Kidnapping. It is about the journalists that Escobar kidnapped. Are you familiar with it?

Is there not a joke about a duck being in a microwave or something? Think the punchline has to do with a singer? I didn't find it funny as I hadn't heard of the singer before.

I know of it, but I haven't read it. Any good?

I'm currently reading Vietnam by Max Hastings. It's excellent so far.

Yeah, it is good, I haven't really had a concerted effort reading it yet though. I started it a few weeks ago but I'm only on page 100 or there abouts. Is your book any good?

I'm about two-thirds through it, and so far I've really enjoyed it. I must admit I wasn't that clued up on Vietnam before, but this book has opened my eyes to what really happened and why. I'd recommend it to anyone who wants to get to grips with that shockingly brutal period of history.

Don't need to read no book about Nam when you've seen Apocolypse Now, Platoon and Full Metal Jacket imho

But seriously I did watch a series thing on Netflix about this particular war. Was very interesting particularly the years of French occupation that gradually lead to the septics going in as advisers.
