Think Grosicki did everything that could be expected of him - anticipated the pass, held off the defender, got his shot away. It was a very sharp save.
He did, if he’d have given the ball a nudge to his left I’m sure he’d have got a penalty. I’m not condoning that, I just never feel comfortable with only a one goal advantage.
I still dream about that pass of Ranocchia to Niasse for the goal against Liverpool, long ball at its best.
I think we mixed it up a bit, we tried passing through the thirds and went long on occasion when it suited to spring a quick counter. Wednesday did a lot of desperate long ball stuff with that giant up front. I’d happily take Bannan - easily the best player in that Wednesday side. Even at 30 he runs the show for them.
At the final whistle City should have played Cryin' by Roy Orbison, or to rub it in a tad more the Tony Angelino version! The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
We must do much better against such poor teams like The Wendies, only 1-0 to us, should have scored 6! Remember in the last 16 meetings against The Wendies, we've only lost 3 times, we are far superior!
