    I'M ANGRY - KEITH

Keith Millen described his mood as "angry" after watching City lose 2-1 at ten-man Leeds United.

Ross McCormack's late winner left the City manager fuming, after earlier seeing Neil Kilkenny cancel out Adam Clayton's third minute opener, while Nicky Maynard's spot-kick was saved after Patrick Kisnorbo's professional foul.

Speaking on Bristol City Player TV, Keith said: "I'm angry. I'm not going to say bad luck because I'm sick of saying we deserved more.

"If you defend like that - the goal; it's laughable. If you concede like that you're going to lose football matches.

"I don't want to hear about how well we played and that we didn't deserve it. We deserved [to lose 2-1] because
we're too naive and too nice.

"We should score the penalty; you're 2-1 one up with a man advantage and you win the game. It didn't swing the game though.

"We had a poor start and were all over the place. They scored and could have had another, but then Killa's scored a great goal to get us back into the game.

"It was a decent game. After the sending-off you have to score the penalty but we had enough other chances.

"The winning goal, it was like watching youth football.

"I don't want to hear about how well we played and that we didn't deserve it. We deserved [to lose 2-1] because
we're too naive and too nice."
    Keith Millen
"I'm going to give them a tough week because I'm angry. They can hate me come Saturday but the next two home games are massive (versus Hull and Reading).

"We have to learn. People don't mean to make mistake but it's the softness is criminal.

"We're in a relegation fight and the sooner we wake up and get angry, the sooner we'll get out of it. You can't hide away from the fact."

Keith will look at the next penalty kick taker after he missed his second penalty of the season.

He was also disappointed with the last-minute decision to rule out a Jamal Campbell-Ryce goal.

"It sums up the day, it looks like Jon Stead was pushed into the keeper," added Keith.

To be fair, what do you expect? Everything he has said is spot on. You should score penalties, you shouldn't conceed crap goals and he isn't making excuses. I can't argue with him on this occasion and it's nice to have a frank appraisal. Maynard can't take penalties and isn't great in 1 on 1 situations, he needs to be dropped for Pitman.

Anything that Millen says won't be good enough for you anyway wiz. As much as he tries to put positive spin on things, you'll be here on this board putting up articles and stickies, putting a negative spin on things.

Getting bit boring now mate tbh.

Completely agree Natch mate, getting fed up of the whole Millen out campaign. Things aren't great but I'll always be behind the team and manager while they're in the position.

Its like i said on another thread, you can't always blame the manager, the players are on the pitch, they must do the business, Maynard missing a penalty again, if he scores, maybe we win the game.
I have said Millen should go, but you cannot always blame the manager.

You blame the manager because,he trains, selects, chooses tactics, man manages, makes substitutions, researches, checks the medical and fitness levels and decides the way we play...

He gets paid for the job and he is a failure, get him out....

Seriously? That's a load of rubbish, any championship club has a massive amount of support staff and coaches. If Millen does everything from training to researching and being a medical expert no wonder he's having a hard time. His work on our infrastructure with the development squad etc is one of the best things he's done here!

He gets paid to employ and manage the entire playing side,it is his job and if he has a massive amount of support staff and coaches and he is still failing, which he is then what shall we do...

Offer him a pay rise for all of the disappointments,he is simply not good enough......

'any championship club has a massive amount of support staff and coaches'

    Not a clue.
And you can pick on odd games, individual mistakes, missed pens etc etc
BUT if your Gran had balls she'd have been your grandfather.
Overall it's RESULTS and it'd down to the LEADERSHIP that comes from the man in charge.
What leadership have we seen from Millen.

Take his signings !!!! (How many play?)
    Take his tactics !!!!
    Take his subs !!!

    Most important :

    AND Take his results !!!!

Millen will be sacked, no doubt. The ditherer Sextone thrives on fans with similar views as you.

ps - Doncaster have ONE point this season - Guess who gave it to them.

Okay natch, you are correct a stikie that appears to be against Millen is unfair, the actual info on it was about a vote for or against him,but it could be misunderstood so I've removed it..

Just trying to be even, there is lot of opinion against Millen but the thread has gone..

wiz appreciate your comments but hang on there, the red mist, yep thats what you have got T H E R E D M I S T.

it IS dissapointing to lose but dont glorify in the fact that what KEEFER SAYS is ALWAYS all bo***ks or spin, a lot of what he said is spot on unlike NM 's penalty or another late, yes another late defensive cock up................. A DRAW WOULD HAVE BEEN FAIR, but still needs to get the formation right.

His comments today I thought were closer to a true evaluation of the game. I thought it looked fairly even.

NM is not himself...baby or career? needs a break, send him to Spain for a week with the missus!!

I can not believe that we still have fans backing Millen........
Are you waiting for us to get relegated before you want action???
The man is clueless and enough is enough.......

The man has had the best part of a year now with all the excuses under the sun.....

WE ARE 2nd FROM BOTTOM...........hello wake up!!!

Come on Sextone grow a pair and do the right thing......before it's to late

SO, lets get this straight - you are happy for the current manager to stay in place until SL/CS decides enough is enough by which time we will probably need binoculars to see everyone else.

I'll get behind my CLUB but I won't stand by and say nothing whilst the current incumbant drives it over the relegation cliff at light speed and if you are happy to just sit there and watch it happen with no comment, thats not really getting behind YOUR club now is it...

ps - Doncaster have ONE point this season - Guess who gave it to them

They also have only 2 goals.........and guess who gave them 50% of their tally ?

Natch and co..............are you serious ? Are you going to still feel this way after 20 games when we have 15 points and it's too late to avoid the drop into a very competetive L1, and when all of the hard work over the last 5 years is undone and we have to start again which may take another 10 years ? Come on !!!!!!!

I expected us to lose heavily yesterday and credit that we didn't, but we still lost and no amount of blame and bemoaning luck and missed opportunities changes anything.

One (unlikely) win from 8 games is enough for most people.

No, I've never said that I think it's going well and everything is rosey. It's a piss take though when someone that has been at the club for so many years isn't even given a fair number of games grace to get everything straight. SL has my absolute faith, he's worked wonders for the club and if it is looking hopeless he wont stand by and let us go down. I don't have issue with people criticising tactics etc it's just the whole thing has become completely bizzare - no tactical discussions or anything interesting. We lose to someone not doing what they've been coached to and it's Millen's fault, no doubt if we won it would be fluke and he still needs to go. The players need to pull their socks up, they get paid to do a job and aren't doing it at the moment.

You can't blame the manager for a player missing a penalty, you cannot blame the manager for a defensive mistake that cost us the game, you can blame the manager for the position we are in, so i agree he should go.

In fairness the manager picked maynard to take the penalties and he missed. Yes u can say hind sight but maynard record is very poor at penalties. That's two missed in a row now and if dropped as taker this won't be the first time as Orr ended up taker last time when maynard kept missing so i was surprised when he stepped up against leicester.

End of the day money talks. SL has stated that we made a loss of £12m last season which we are having to loan that money from SL until its paid off. With u losing fans are not turning up which means less income to pay our over paid players and if we go down it could damage the club quite badly financially.
To me millen has been given the two home games to turn it around and i think basso now at hull will be his undoing

I'll clarify my position on Millen as some people seem to think that I'm backing him to turn this around.

Well simply put, I don't think he will.

If it was announced that he has left the club then I'd be happy with that, I think most fans would as he's clearly out of his depth, and his tactics/substitutions have been quite unfathomable over the last few weeks.

That said, I feel the vitriol aimed at Millen by the majority of fans on this and other message boards has been unfair. He obviously feels that he can turn this around (however misguided that may turn out to be) and doesn't look like falling on his sword anytime soon so we're stuck with him. Steve Lansdown has clearly stated at the start of the season that he was not going to throw piles of money at it again and we'd have to cut our cloth accordingly. Until SL decides otherwise, then Millen is at the helm, and I just feel that the finger is being pointed in the wrong direction.

I know what SL has done for this club and I'll probably get slated for suggesting that he's the one who's been getting it wrong (as well as Millen).

Come on Natch mate get a grip.........That's what he's paid to do. he's not gonna walk away cus no other club with the wages he's on is gonna want him.
Somebody needs to say something otherwise this will go on and on and before you know it, it will be too late.

Now is a good time for him to go, gives the new manager time to sort things out without the pressure.

For the good of the club.......we Need a new manager...........................NOW
