True but that was just an example. They have a host of interesting characters to go with, although going back to Gus wouldn't surprise me. They'll bring Walt back for this film imo, hope they don't **** it up and just stick to flashbacks etc. If it turns out he didn't die, I'm switching it off.
Yeah, five was a step too far. All the rest were consistently excellent. Series 2 stood out because it told a bigger story about the death of the docks due to containerisation (my dad worked on the docks, in London and Southampton), the decline of heavy industry and organised labour, and the connection between capitalism and organised crime. Plus the focus on the alcoholic cops, chasing the drug dealers was handled brilliantly, and very funny.
I can't imagine anyone has ever watched an episode of Breaking Bad and thought, "That looks like a fun way of life".
