Pepe always looks like he might do something wonderful.... and then he doesn’t.

Needs to up his game if he’s going to stay in the team when Lacazette is fit again.

He’s got time to turn things around but currently he’s a highly frustrating Manager with his weird tactical decisions, team selections and subs.

    Xhaka as captain ffs <facepalm>

Didn't see the game, so can't really comment ... but as fans we are often a bit hasty in judging players ... for me you should allow for a settling in period at a new club, and probably judge on 'second season' ... although there are some exceptions... Salah at 'Pool and Kante wherever... but both Bernardo Silva last season and Riyad Mahrez this, show that if you give good players time they may come good ... so there us still hope for the likes of Pepe, Ndombele and even Naby Savage to justify the huge outlays ... <cheers>

One thing I noticed is that Pogba really is taking the piss, he strolled around that pitch last night having no influence at all in a game that was crying out for sometime to take control and dictate play. It could have been won by either side if someone had stepped up.

Utd will never get anywhere unless they sort their midfield out. Mr Showboat is a waste of space and why they persist with him is a mystery. There’s no creative talent there - Mata is a close as they’ve got and he’s past his best. They don’t even defend very well from the middle, putting more pressure on the defence.

I forgot he was there tbh. His heart is elsewhere and United should get rid. He has the ability to achieve legend status at United but his attitude absolutely stinks.

fans especially at the big clubs seem to expect to win every week and expect to always do better than the so called smaller clubs … The games changed ! all he clubs have money now because of TV , so the leagues being shaken up more and soon a few clubs will have overspent and implode through trying to keep their small minded fans content

Not sure they'll implode but the league is definitely more competitive.

Some assumption, as always ... your arrogance in assuming that you always know the mood or mentality behind someone's posts is only surpassed by your hypocrisy and unoriginality ... you have neither the wit or intelligence to generate a rant from me son, merely apathy tinged with a little pity for your constant need for my attention.

Our exchanges are very predictable - I'll post a comment, you will then respond with a dig then, when you get something back, you will complain about the lack of 'bantz' and eventually have a dig about age - whilst being too thick to comprehend that banter on a footie forum is by definition a mix of the ridiculous, the funny and the sometimes infantile.

Our exchanges are always generated this way because anything else you post tends to slip under my radar as average at best compared to most posters. That combined with your irrational reaction to another poster and your continual need to ingratiate yourself with certain others is way more childish and unpalatable (to me) than my sense of humour.

Predictably you will now claim a rant. It's not, it's merely a summary of why I find you tedious, inconsequential and have little interest in any banter with you. Sorry about that. <cheers>

Pepe will come good bro, we're barely out of Sept and people have written him off already.

I've even had to go out and buy a whole new batch of bookmarks to keep up with comments that are gonna get get rinsed.

I think some of these clubs need top 4 money and if they keep throwing money at it someones going to buckle … its happened before and it will happen again imo … if Leicester can win the league one of the big teams can go down
