... plans, memories, info. A fair few seem to be on the train and there's a decent contingent from the East Midlands branch out of Nottingham. It's obviously a sell out and should be a good day out. Sadly there's a small, but nasty, bunch of knuckledraggers at Lincoln who are mainly kids. As we've found with clubs like Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury they'll be out to 'make a name for themselves' when Sunderland come to town. There are a fair number of Mags, ex-pit families, and there always seems to be a few at our away games. Still it should be a cracking day out and Lincoln have obviously taken a big knock changing managers. No reason we can't win that game.
The previous manager had them playing a very robust game of football. Not pretty on the eye but given their resources, quite effective. Should suit lynch and probably wyke down to the ground. I fear our small cm contingent could take a whacking. Here's hoping
We're on the 10.29 from Nottingham arriving into Lincoln at 11.25. Drinking in the Golden Eagle for drinks and tickets ...
A lad called Barry Ross on the Sunderland fans banter page is after tickets.. Could I pass on the details above?
Yes mate, of course, or just give him my number if you like. I now have none left but may have more before lunch tomorrow.
Our train leaves at 5.30 so might get a quickie in. I also have a few spares so, if anyone's hesitating, contact me ... ... if you don't go and we lose it'll be your fault
We went to Lincoln for the cup match and ended up in a pub, just for a change! A Shotton lad, Seedy, went out to get tabs as he thought they'd be slightly cheaper than the pub's. He came back, after a half mile walk, having saved 50p, wearing an old woman's hat he'd paid a quid for at Oxfam Everyone was in uproar and 'admiring' his hat ... ... all of a sudden the pub emptied and we cleaned out the Oxfam shop. We looked class walking to the ground singing 'we're so chic it's unbelievable'.
The joys of L1 mate ... ... it was an away terrace when we last went, dunno now tbh. There's a lot of us arriving early so the pubs should be good crack.
