I take it Benyon was brought in to rekindle his partnership up front with Rendell so why isn't it happening Strevens is not the answer and I'm worried its a season to many for Ainsworth please Gary give the youth a chance before its to late

I'm still waiting for Ruth and Benyon to have a few games together - it just doesn't make sense not picking last seasons top scorerer.

We're now 11/8 joint favs with Orient for relegation - with Bet365. At this rate we'll soon be odds on. <yikes>

it amazes me when you look at our stats so far this season we have the least amount of shots on target than anyone else in our division,no wonder we dont score.

"A toothless Wycombe Wanderers fail to threaten Tranmere, who win comfortably in an uninspiring encounter."

probably frighten their defense more than our strikers to be honest.

the worrying thing is our strikers apart from beever never take on or turn a defender and then shoot ,they always lay the ball off to someone else.when our midfielders are looking to make the killer pass the forwards are never available and on the rare occasion they find them they are always facing away from goal.if we dont get a striker in on loan we need to change the shape of the side ,harris on the left wing and betsy on the right and put grant and beever up front all of them are capable of skinning defenders.grant clearly has talent so we need to get the most out of him.ibe on the bench and bring him on 2nd half .job done its not rocket science.

i think ibe has got to be tried, he has been watched by some big clubs who clearly think there is potential. beavon is our only striker who seems to be able to score, so he should play alongside grant. i think betsy was unlucky today and should feature in the team as well

the only problem with betsy and harris is waddock isent playing them. i think harris is young and is worth a go and betsy has looked better in recent weeks when he has come on

I couldn't agree with you more The Blues. I listened on Player today. The BBC match report says it all - toothless.

Three players in the first XI today that weren't with the club last season. We went up last season, but we hardly set the league alight. I kept quiet on this board when many fans were saying we have the team ready for Lg 1 to stay up - personally, i wasn't sure if we did as Chesterfield and Bury were light years ahead of us last season (Even though we did Bury - bear in mind they were already up so were probably not as up for it as we were). If I am to be honest I don't thinking adding three players of the quality of Grant, Tunnicliffe and Benyon to last season's XI is going to make us survive in League 1.

I'm not going to get on the goalscoring bandwagon - I don't think we missed a goalscorer today, what we did miss was the creating of chances. Even Rooney couldn't score a goal if he's not given the chances, and the stats from the BBC's website says it all - we created nothing. Blame there has to go to the midfield. I don't think Donnelly's played anywhere near as well as he was last season, Gaz hasn't showed us much magic in League 1 yet and if that goes on I'd seriously question whether we need him playing for 60 mins every couple of games, Joel Grant is looking perilously like another Jermaine McSporran with moments of magic for 5 minutes every three matches and whilst I think Kev's been a great player and servant for the club, I don't personally think he's going to set League 1 alight - he's average in this division. Our other midfielders, whilst you can't fault their heard and love for the team, are not good league 1 players.

HOWEVER, I am not going to let it get me down and I am happy to give Waddock longer to sort it out. I believe in him and if he can't get it fixed within a couple of months then I'll re-evaluate things then.

I do laugh at people who thought play offs were a possibility.

agreed play offs were way off the mark, survival was the aim and still should be but waddock has to sort the team out to play to its strengths ,something which we are not doing at the moment.

i'm unsure about gaz at the moment; last season he did take a while to get going in fairness to him and the team has'nt been playing well around him. he has had some good games: leyton orient away is the one which springs to mind. however, whilst the passion is there, the ability possibly isent and if he struggles this season and we stay up (yes it is possible, dont give up yet!) then i think it could be time to nudge him out, maybe into a coaching role

maybe we are better off playing betsy for 90 mins and harris for 90 mins ,they will create chances.the rendell thing puzzles me he seems to be way down the pecking order now.
