I respect your opinion Nick, I actually watch Leeds every game cos Ell does a great job of providing the links.

I never said he only made one mistake. All keepers make mistakes occasionally, but he is a big improvement on last season, and many have noticed it.

Reason he didn't have a lot to do in some games was because our attack, and especially our defence were doing their job. Kiko has also made some goal saving saves as well this season...........:emoticon-0148-yes:

The conclusion i am now reaching is promotion would be far to soon without a total upgrade of players, let's face it if we struggle against teams like swansea/charlton etc which any of the top six prem teams would murder, can you imagine what they could do to us, Bielsa is a genius with these players, but we also need players that are geniuses in themselves. The championship is wide open this season, there are three slots for the prem, WBA will almost certainly take one, that leaves second spot and i am convinced for the simple reason that we are unable to score goals, that that second spot will not be ours, play offs again for us, could we do it this season ? not if our past record is anything to go by. We are playing great football granted, but until we learn the necessary art of scoring goals we will remain a championship club <sorry>

Not really trying to be controversial but on one hand you say we are playing great football on the other we need to learn the art of scoring goals. Surely one goes hand in hand with the other. We are not playing great football until the ball is in the back of the net after all that is the object of the game.
What we are doing is playing possession football without any end result at the moment.
Question we need to ask ourselves is quite simple, what would we prefer to watch, nice to watch possession football with no result or killing aggressive untidy football which gets results. Sorry guys but with this team you carn't have both or can we.
Which ever you want I do believe everyone should support the team fully in particular those who are fortunately enough to go to games. Constant negativity from the terraces will never achieve anything. Mr Bielsa is in charge and takes responsibility for the results so constantly having a go at individual players is infact having a go at the boss.
P.S. Not trying to stifle debate but this constant having a go at individual players is driving me up the wall.:emoticon-0148-yes:

We seem to have forgotten how to score.

Totally agree with most of that, i personally would rather we played untidy/killer football which would gain results and promotion, it's ok trying to emulate man city,Barca etc but you do need the players to be able to do that, now don't get me wrong i am not knocking our players i think they give their all, game in game out and their 90% the way their of being an exceptional team, but we do need that bit extra to realise all our dreams, can't understand why our free kicks & particularly corners are so woefull, we don't seem to carry any threat at all, surely they practice these on a training ground.Imho sometimes their is a case for a good old fashioned tall lean centre faward to get their head on some of these corners.

Some good points raised there. I'm in the football which gets results camp, no interest in how much possession, corners shots or whatever we have I'm only interested in the most important stat Leeds Utd 1 whoevever were playing 0
That's the only stat that matters. I'm also not in the bielsa is God camp. Whilst I agree he's a good coach and has done wonders with some bang average players I'm still to be convinced he's a good man manager. I'm still of the opinion that his stubbornness last season in the playoffs with Derby cost us the place in the final. His continued stubbornness this season regarding Harrison and Bamford is also the reason fans are getting on their backs. Continuing to repeat the same mistakes is not being a closet genius it's arrogance or stubbornness.

What's so annoying is, that were tantalisingly close to be a promotion winning team, just that a little something is missing.

We had it...his name was Siaz.

Maybe he was the one who should have been given a big fat new contract to soothe away what ever problems he had.

M'mm, we took the easy route instead of fixing the problem and that decision is proving very costly in my opinion.

Why waste time and energy on a player who clearly thought he was a bigger player than the club, who sulked and didn't try and only turned it on when it suited. <ok>

Because he got me and every one else in the stadium off their seat.

Special talents require a different type of managing and we always seem to throw the towel in...I'm thinking Cantona, Hasselebaink etc, players who should have been at Leeds for a decade or more but were allowed to leave whilst under contract because we couldn't handle their egos or personalities.

Not at all, the club should be bigger and stronger than the ego...not the other way round.

Don't see Daniel Levy giving in to the Spuds players much do you ?
