Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think he’s amazing and we have been flattered with amazing defenders over the last decade, but he is no way rubbish. Yes he lacks pace, yes he gets caught out. But he reads the game particularly well. I don’t think there’s much difference between him and Maya. Bed is our best CB.
I agree its not played on paper, but at least positionally Valery would be a bit better than JWP. And that’s not just JWPs fault, it is his manager fault, but also I’d expect both Bednarek and JWP to talk and JWP to be pulled into position more.
I'm sorry, but what has Yan done to make everybody consider him a liability? I think he's a cracking prospect, and really held his own last term.
Romeu shouldn't be on the park. This isn't his sort of match. 3 cb's behind him and 11 vs 10 and trailing. Poor from Hassenhuttl. I'd only use caution against the better sides away from home. I'd pick him at home vs Spurs. He's only young still.

Taking Moura off totally changed the game (for the worse) for Spurs at SMS last year. Now Poch is doing similar with Son.
Need the guy on the tannoy system to remind spurs players that they are just winding contracts down, and to not get hurt.
