As long as Liverpool say sorry, I'm sure it will make everything ok, then we can forget all about it, never talk about it again, and move on.

I still don't understand why Man Utd just didn't play in both.
They probably would've got a Fergie draw against some **** team at home and beaten them with their kids.

Exactly, its not like any of the big clubs play anything resembling a strong XI until the Quarters or semi finals anyway

We could/should have fielded reserves in the 3rd round but were told to pull out.

    It's a simple fact.

But that becomes Manchester United kill the FA cup.

Not the FA kill their own cup because they told them to do it.

Thats just hyperbolic ****e, either way, I think anyone with a brain realises that.

If anything, the Premier League and the Champions League and the massive rewards they offer killed the FA Cup.
The rewards for finishing top 4 and getting into the CL means that the bigger teams are going to prioritise finishing 4th in the league over a Cup win and field weaker sides, thats what has cheapened both the League Cup AND FA Cup.

You'd hope so Bod but it gets tripped out on match of the day every time it's FA Cup week so, sadly, plenty do buy it.

When you say reserves you mean the youth team. They would've needed most of the first team squad for the tournament in Brazil as it was a minimum of 3 games.

United played their youth team in the FA Cup, it's so disrespectful etc....

I actually prefer the league cup to the FA cup. It doesn't disrupt the league calendar, better format, games straight to penalties and not bigged up to be bigger than it is.

I notice a lot of Liverpool fans saying this, couldn't be down to the fact they've won it more than anyone could it?

FA Cup much better, got NL sides in it and the replays (for now at least) make it a bit more interesting. The games are largely Saturday's too.

FA Cup 1st round weekend is one of my favourite on the football calendar.

FA Cup is obviously the better of the two but I understand the logic in the calendar argument. However, I prefer us to sack both cups off.
