There is talk that they are being investigated for fielding an ineligible player against MK Dons last week.
Liverpool in disrespecting league cup scandal! Will they be accused of killing the cup like United were when they were forced to pull out of the FA cup by the government and then everyone decided to rewrite that? Let's hope so.
Nope, Utd will still be ****s for disrespecting our oldest cup competition and Liverpool have made an unfortunate error which will deserve love and respect
I don’t think it will stop them getting 3 points in their next game unfortunately That’s all that matters. Rather get thrown out than..we’ll...you know what...like Tuesd... It don’t matter
That's the actual true story, whether you like that or not. We were bidding for the World Cup, Blair thought it be a good idea if United committed to the club one. The story has been manipulated ever since. As this one can and no doubt will be.
Chief speaks the truth but UNITED DISRESPECTED THE FA CUP is a better football forum headline. Anyway, I expect Liverpool will be found not guilty and MK Dons will be banned from next year's League Cup.
I dont think United disrespected the FA Cup. They chose to play in a different, ****tier competition in order to try to give validation to said ****ty competition. What I am sure of though, is that a Prime Minister has no managerial control over any football team.
riiiiiight, so if United had just turned up to the FA Cup, what the **** could Tony Blair have done? And how can the FA demand that a football club take part in ANY tournament? All utter bollocks. United were asked to do something and chose to say yes. Im sure they were pressured by the FA, but United chose to do what they did There would have been zero punitive action if they had refused.
It doesn't sit with the narrative you've been readily spouting for 20 years so you have to dismiss it. That's pretty much standard for how people express their views nowadays. It's what I think and therefore it's fact.
No whats a fact is that the FA cannot make any team take part in a tournament. I fully understand that the FA probably pressured United in to it and the FA were likely in turn getting pressure from the government, but United had a choice. Seriously what would have happened if United said no? They gonna disband the worlds biggest football club for refusing to take part in some poo-dunk competition halfway across the world? I doubt even a fine would have stood up if it went to CAS
