Not because the performance was not up to scratch on Saturday, but more due to the fact that our record at Selhurst Park is pretty pathetic, I fear another defeat on the horizon :emoticon-0107-sweat, but who knows. If DF can find the correct-sized rocket to shoot up the arses of the players, perhaps they will turn the style back on this week :emoticon-0165-muscl

I can't see us picking up any points at Selhurst, been 4 or 5 times and never seen us win other than against Wimbledon.

Last game for me at Selhurst Park was when Timm Klose
got injured,never played again and we went down.

I see this as a pretty pivotal game in our season as it will potentially set a tone for the remainder in my opinion. Our home form looks like it will hold up and we should be looking to gain maybe 30 points (10 wins or more likely 9 wins and 3 draws), something of that order. However, we must start picking up some points away and although it is not the happiest hunting ground for us historically, we have to look at Palace as a side we should take something from. If we don't, then on paper our away programme could leave us short of what we need. I am not saying it is do or die (famous words!) but it could have a real psychological impact for the rest of our season. I hope we get the rub of the green on this one and get at least a point.

A terrific article by Melissa Rudd and I've picked out some of the more salient points -
The ease at which Chris Wood found the net twice in the space of four minutes administered a sobering dose of reality after the euphoria of the previous fixture.
Yet what is far more crucial in the context of the season is that City halt a run of three straight away defeats at Crystal Palace on Saturday, before a pattern develops and a potential rut on the road sets in. It may sound a touch dramatic given this weekend is only the fourth opportunity to pick up points on their travels this season, but supporters will be all too aware that City's atrocious Premier League away record in previous campaigns has been a major factor in why the team were relegated.
In the two most recent top flight campaigns in 2015/16 and 2013/14, Norwich won five games out of 38 away from home, and took just 20 points from a possible 114 across both seasons. Without wanting to compare those squads to the class of 2019, who have already proved they are among the most exciting group of players in the club's history, the fact remains that City simply must do better on their travels this time round.
Two of the next three away fixtures are against sides you'd expect to be fighting for survival in Palace and Brighton, and Selhurst Park on Saturday presents a perfect opportunity to start to reverse those top flight away day fortunes. Palace won just five games there last season, and only relegated Huddersfield earned fewer points at home. In 2019, Roy Hodgson's side have won four of 12 home league fixtures, and two of those came against Huddersfield and Fulham who were both relegated.
