The bigot speaks, no doubt a return to the land of bigots and make believe will now take place, with an occassional visit to see if the coast is clear...
Claudio Gentile...of Italy 82 vintage....The only player who wanted to change shirts during the game.
Duncan Ferguson, Big toughie Roy Keane wouldn't go near him nutted McStay during a game and got 3 months in clink and chinned a couple of scousers who were robbing his house putting one in hospital. He'd have chinned Hurlock no problem
Souness was another hard as nails player - Quote from his book "I had the privilege of playing against many tough players like Jimmy Case, Ron Harris, Bryan Robson, a young Roy Keane, but the toughest player I ever came up against was Terry Hurlock - the man was a beast - that's why he was one of my first signings when I became Rangers manager!"
Has Ron Harris been mentioned the dirty blue scum bag. Crippled Eddie Gray in the FA Cup replay 1970, again Dirty Blue Scum Bag. Edit - Okay I've just spotted TC's post!!!
Lets see where we are then :- GK) Harvey RB) LB) Dicks CB) CB) DM) Bremner RW) AM) LW) FW) CF) D. Fergeson
Have to agree with Souness inclusion, one of the hardest players around in the 80's. I'd also suggest Danny Mills for RB, he was brutal and never feared anyone or anything.
Duncan Ferguson (Drunk 'n' Disorderly) as he is known around central Scotland, is from my home town and in case some of you youngsters don't know it, the town is the birthplace of the most famous Leeds United player, Billy Bremner. Stirling is the home city of Billy Bremner and Duncan Ferguson who both came from the Raploch area of Stirling, an area that has now been redeveloped but once was brutal and if you didn't know how to handle yourself, you didn't survive.
Billy Bremner - hard? Didn't he have a bitch fight with Kevin Keagan where they were both happy-slapping each other!! The only time Bremner was hard was when Revie was giving him a brown envelope to pass on!!
