Where to start? Depends on what you are looking for. If it's music and easy listening and just getting swept away with it then in order of merit 1 - Sheep 2 - Run Like Hell (Live) 3 - Poles Apart 4 - Take it Back 5 - Time the remainder are just as good as each other. If it's for something deeper then look no further than the likes of. 1 - When the Tigers Broke Free 2 - The Fletcher Memorial 3 - The Post War Dream 4 - Shine On You Crazy Diamond (both parts) Roger Waters at his very best! You can see instantly who wrote most of the lyrics for those tracks. I know many think Floyd were better when Syd was a member but I do not agree. Dave Gilmour completed the band to my mind, either that or it was just a coincidence that they moved towards a proper rock band. It was after that introduction that 'Dark Side' & 'Wish You Were Here' were created, swiftly followed up by the amazing 'Animals' album & the 'Wall' - 4 of the best albums but the outstanding one for me has to be The Final Cut.
That is not to say there were no good tracks from the Syd era - See Emily Play & Arnold Layne are immense as is Echoes
