I must admit having my reservations about the signing/captaincy of Joey Barton, but he has been just what the doctor ordered, in the 2 games that he has played for us so far, he has been a revaltion and an inspiration on the other members of the team. Shaun Wright-Phillips is another and their are many more, let the good times continue.
Who'd would of thought that Adel would be upstaged so quickly by a new boy?

    Comeon Superhoops.

Not so sure Adel's been upstaged - he's played his best two games since Barton came in.

It looks like it's agreeing with Adel, having Joey and Swp around!

Yea, you get the impression he's not so worried about giving away his 'precious' (ball) when he knows the other players around him can do something with it.

I've just watched an interview with Pep Guardiola,

and he said.... ( Quote. )

'' I am hoping if Barca keep improving,

we can become the new QPR. ''

Adel, Ali and Derry have all raised their games and the team as a whole today were brilliant. I think a special mention should go to Treore, as some people said he was the weak link against Newcastle, but today he was immense both in defense and going forward.

We are showing some real quality and what a relief to knock in some goals today. It will still be a tough long season and we're still bound to get the occasional spanking, it will be then we will see how far we've come and reply to those knocks.

But I'm certainly not worried about being relegated anymore.

Couldn't agree more. I thought we were poorer after he came off against Newcastle, and we started to look quite unbalanced.

I think the most amazing thing for me is two clean sheets in their last two games . And that is with a back four that have never played together and 3 joining in the last 3 weeks. And to be fair we have not really looked like conceeding.

From what i saw the first half today was better than newcastle. Truely amazing and god knows if we could keep it up. If we'd have got that deserved win on monday we'd have been 4th tonight!!

Perhaps we are all underestimating this team and we have the quality to get into the Champions League first time of asking. Id just love for a week or two to sing The top of the league song again in the Premiership but its going to be hard to overhaul Man Utd and Man City on what ive seen.

He's a very very good player, you will struggle convincing all the haters though.

Wolves' players took it in turns to kick lumps out of him for the last 20 minutes and he didn't rise to the bait (except on twitter).

Another very good performance. Some may scoff but he could force his way into the England squad for the Euros if he keeps it up.

Still impressed with you Newcstle supporters, you seem a really great bunch. Clearly your board is the place to go when ours gets quiet. despite the fact that you stole Peacock and Sir Les off us over the years, I really hope you do well.

Never had any doubt he would be an inspirational captain, the whole team are playing as though they all have a point to prove, their work-rate is tremendous.
