She sailed to the US. Not sure how she got to the UN building itself.

Don't lock up murderers unless you've never committed a crime, including **** like speeding.

indeed, not sure if it was an electric car or not ?

As I mentioned to Dunc, we are where we are with all of this. We've all been told that mass consumerism and economic growth is good for the world. We all use fossil fuels and we consume products that have been produced using fossil fuels.

We're only just realising the impact all of this is having on the planet, so have to work within the structures we've already got and try to change them.

    Children should be at school.

Nowhere near politicians unless they visit school.

As I said fill your boots mate.
Put down the phone and start a vegetable patch , don't buy any imported food , don't buy cheap knock off trainers made in Thailand get your old boots resoled instead .
Don't eat meat or drink bottled water , wear a jumper in the winter and turn off your heater.

There is so much more you can do .

Yep, whatever belief system we choose to guide our lives. The evidence now is that we're facing massive climate extremes which will have a fundamental change on life on Earth.

It would be negligent not to even try to change things imo.

But maybe the world needs a mass extinction of humans for it to survive, who knows ? This could all be part of a greater plan in the grand scheme of things.

The Jocks have a succinct way of putting things...and we should all be reminded of the very topical fact occasionally.

She's 16. She could leave school if she wanted to in this country and get a job or join the army.
There are a lot more people of her age doing a lot dumber **** than digging out a few political leaders.
I think that they can take it, though I wonder why so many people are suddenly being very protective of them and their feelings.

I've got a vegetable patch. I buy most of my food locally. ebay is my friend for 2nd hand clothes and shoes. I mainly eat fish that's been caught locally, vary rarely have meat tbh. I don't buy bottled water, I filter what comes out of the tap. I don't have central heating, I've got a burner that I use compressed sawdust blocks on.

I'm also involved in a few projects that promote and manage compostable packaging, tree planting and rewilding of low grade agriculture land.

Do I still have a carbon footprint ? Of course I do. I'm just trying to make some changes that I can.
